I was trying to find out some inf o about what can be done at WDW for birthdays. DD will be turning 3 after we get back, but this trip is for her birthday. I was wanting to do something for her. I don't want to go overboard. She is having breakfast with JoJo. That is actually going to be her birthday party. I'm hoping to get pictures with her and JoJo for the invitations. I'm just needing ideas. Please help. We are going the 25th of Feb. 2007

Thank you

We just celebrated DD's 5th birthday there 2 weeks ago. When you get to your resort or enter any of the parks, you can pick up a birthday pin for her to wear. She will get extra attention from CMs, characters, and other guests. You will love the Playhouse Disney breakfast. My 18 month old ended up dancing with Jojo! We thought the food there was very good too.

You can note it's a bday on your ADRs and most TS places will give her a cupcake. Some places also gave dd a card or placemat signed by the characters. At the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare, she also got a birthday tiara. Since this was her actual birthday dinner, I ordered a special cake from the Grand Floridian that night. Oh, and we had a special birthday card that we got all of the princesses to sign when they were doing autographs.

Your dd is old enough for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique if she is into princesses and will tolerate getting her hair done. That was my dd's favorite part of the trip. We did it on her bday just before the 1900 Park Fare dinner with Cinderella and friends.

Have fun! princess:

Ok i'm still learning, what is ADR and TS? Trying to figure out these codes.

Believe ADR is Advance Dining Reservations and TS I believe is Table Service. If I am wrong just let me know I am still learning the lingo as well.

Thank You, I'll be calling next week to order her birthday cake for the character meal. I'll alos be getting the pin. I'm trying to see if there is anything else I want to do for her.

Hi,

I'm also new to the boards. Our family visited WDW in Oct '06 for DD's 8th birthday. She absolutely loved it. We did the pin, had her b-day dinner at Crystal Palace at MK. I also ordered a cake (somewhat of a waste after a big buffet meal) but the kids enjoyed it. She received a b-day card from all the charcters at dinner - pooh, tigger, eyeore & piglet. Most of the autographs she received from the characters we met in the parks also referred to her b-day, which made it that much more special! CM's wished her happy b-day too! As a little added surprise, I purchased a Disney/Mickey picture frame from a local store prior to our trip, wrapped it in Disney paper & ran back to our room the morning of her b-day because I "forgot" something and set it out with a card from Mickey (made by a "crafty" neighbor).. she was so surprised that Mickey would leave her a little gift!

Have a great trip!

We have celebrated a couple of our kids birthdays at WDW. It's a lot of fun. This year our middle son will be turning 5. We are going to Crystal Palace for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner. We never have room for cake. They have always brought out a HUGE cupcake with a candle in it in the past. Not sure if they still do. If so, a cake may not be necessary. There are tons of desserts on the buffet to choose from.

Where is the Playhouse Disney character meal???? I've never heard of that one. Is it new?

It's at Hollywood and Vine at MGM. They do breakfast and lunch. We did a breakfast there last month, and saw Jojo and Goliath and June and Leo from Little Einsteins. The food and atmosphere were great. My little one even got up and danced with Jojo!
