Birmingham al construction alert

Just wanted to let anybody that is planning to drive through Birmingham on 59-S (say from Chattanooga or points north) should be aware of some construction going on with 2 lanes closed through the downtown area - making for a very congested and slow travel time. You should definitely take the I-459 exit (Just past Trussville, AL) to circumvent going through downtown and it will connect you with 65-S.

I have to commute this way each day and it is a nightmare
