Here we go again!
Even though we planned to hit up DL this year, it looks like we are headed to WDW for halloween!
So many factors went into making that decision, but I am promised that we will hit up DL for 2011. Maybe then I'll find some kind soul who's home resort is GCV and wants to rent their points 11 months out so we can get everything on time.
Now for the cast!
Me (30) and DH (33):
It occured to me that I should probably put something here..
Growing up, my family was one that never took vacations. Not real ones, anyway. Vacations for the summer were times that we'd drive down to Alabama in a wagon to see my grandmother and the rest of my dads family. We'd stay in her shack.. (yes shack) for a night, since a hotel would offend her and we'd drive back home. Every. Single. Summer. We didn't get to see anything except for the scenery outside. Although I have to say, I am a pro at eating in the car by now!
My husband had been a little bit different. He had been to DL once when he was very little, and before his parents split for good.. he did take road trips to other states and places, where he had fun. That's where his love of driving comes in from.
Our first real vacation was our honeymoon. One week on a mexican cruise! We were hooked on this vacation business. It was a good time! But not long after, number 1 made his appearance (on my birthday no less!) so we had to set our cruise days aside. When he was one and half, we bit the bullet and took our first trip to WDW.. and we all loved it!
We went back when our daughter was one and half, which was also the perfect time for her to go!
We decided to hit disney again this year. I am trying to get into nursing school, my son next year will be in kindergarden!, and my daughter will start pre school. Pretty soon, we are all going to be so very busy.. time is so precious that we decided to push some things back this year to enjoy time together as a family. It may seem trite to some people who are not disney lovers, but disney really helps us do that and pull the magic together.
Our two little spooky monsters.
DS 4:
Aka. "the boy"
This past year he's really been getting into movies. His favorites are Bolt, Monsters Inc, Cars, and Toy Story. Lately, it's been all about toy story!
Luckily it comes out on our birthday this year, so it will be a nice pre-disney treat. He is also a BIG fan of roller coasters just like mom. Last Oct was the first year he was able to ride since he was just "40 inches!
DD2:
A.k.a "The girl".
She is our little love bug. She just turned 2 this April, so she's not a big fan of movies yet. However, she does LOVE princess cinderella, Aurora, and Buzz Light year. Sleeping beauty is a big hit here. Often when she's upset because her brother took a toy away, or just generally being two.. she stops once she hears "once upon a dream". She loves to try to sing a long and mimic the dancing. It's very sweet <3
Together, last year during our trip. At Ohana with Lilo.
We will be booking our resort in the next few days. It's a choice between the Poly and WL.
Will keep this thread updated as we go along!
Part 1:
Resort is chosen!

Part Duex:
