Ok there is a thread right now that has my interest peeked.
I would love to know what everyone thinks.
Do you think Bioscan is a smoke screen to stop those who will try to use others pass's?

I will say that I think it is no more real then Santa. We have a friend who gave his season pass to his cousin when he moved out of state with no plans off coming back any time soon. The cousin has never had an issue with getting in with that pass.

I am a full time adult student and everyone in my class's knows I am a Disney freak with AP's, I have been asked MANY times by more then a few people if they could use my pass's. Even though I know the biscan is hogwash I always say "no" and use the biscan as my reason.
I dont really give a rats booty what other people do but when it comes to pass's I paid nearly $1,000 for they are staying in my walet ;)

I think real, because my mom's never works and she is ID'd about 60% of the time.

I've had an AP for a long time now so I can only speak from that one

The bioscan is real. At least on the APs, it can easily get "messed up" Actually it's quite annoying. I wish they'd go to puttinng people's pictures on the tickets like they used to do for the old park hoppers a while back. Made life easier! Or I wish they'd stop telling me to put my pass through four times before just letting me in. Most of the time they don't bother asking for ID

If it wasn't real why does mine break???

I think that the "rumor" on linking is true however. I do think that somehow Disney has linked the passes bought in one batch together. So if you and your family of five by five tickets at check in and put them on the card they can be "linked" just to avoid the confusion over who has whose.

Also the last time I was at Epcot there was a whole sceen going on where a girl was "crying" because they weren't going to let her in with "her pass" since she couldn't pass the bioscan and had no ID. (Personally I think that this was group of teens trying a fast one....they were really attempting to confuse the ticket person by the way they were acting. None of them claimed to have ID, but ALL of them looked over 16)

Real. And I suppose this is enough to make most AP holders not want to pass on their pass...........

"The owners of the Walt Disney World Resort reserve the right to revoke the Annual Pass if it is presented for admission by anyone other than the Passholder of record or if the Passholder violates park policies."

Absolutely real. Even if it's not real, I certainly wouldn't want to have the possibility of getting my pass revoked because some people are cheap.

they're absolutely real but the ones WDW, Seaworld and Busch Gardens use aren't exactly the cutting edge of technology. and when attendance is projected to be high, the parks simply don't use them to avoid waits at the entrances. the ones at Universal are more accurate, they require a thumbprint scan like the park lockers. I've been asked for ID at WDW and BG when my bioscan didn't match the computer, so that tells me they're the real thing.
