The frightening part, for me, is not that the billboard exists but the fact that fireworks are illegal in MA.

MA state police used to camp out at the NH liquor stores (state-owned) and then issue fines to MA residents who bought there and brought liquor into the state. Our then governor ordered the NH state police to run off the MA police. It was fun.
We purchase alcohol in NH when we go up there because it is cheaper but I didn't think there was anything illegal about it.MA state police used to camp out at the NH liquor stores (state-owned) and then issue fines to MA residents who bought there and brought liquor into the state. We head to Maine from MA all summer long stopping in NH to buy liquor! Hmmm!

So all of you who live in MA don't get to see fireworks? What do you do on the 4th of July? It's my favorite holiday. Do you at least get to see big displays of fireworks put on by someone? Wouldn't that be illegal too? Or is it they just can't be sold in MA?
Of course, since the fireworks stores in SC (an anything goes state) are only 3 hours away, there are lots of semi-professional class fireworks going off around the neighborhood on the 4th, and New Year's Eve.
