bikinis in public

two things:

First off the ads I was seeing with this thread before I signed in were um well lets just say they close up photos of women in bikini's particulary close ups of the front of the bottom part of the bikini another words zoomed in on the groin :rolleyes1 ...not that I am complaining

Secondly, I have been to the beach with buddies and they have looked at girls walking by in bikini's only to get a nasty remarks like "what are you looking at?" "Hey stop looking at me"
His remark back if you dont want it looked at dont be putting it out there!

I will now be logging back out thank you :)

That's probably true, and of the myriad ways young people (teens and twenty-somethings) seek attention these days (vandalism, for example), this is among the least objectionable, if at all.

That cuts both ways. Because they can doesn't mean they shouldn't.

By the same token, if they can't, then I think we all can agree that they shouldn't!!!

Mr. Spock, Scottie, we need to repair the Universal Translator quickly!

I don't know why but the thought of the lady showing up at the bus stop cracks me up. It just seems too silly.

I feel sorry for her kids though. Kids get to that point where a parent simply breathing embarasses them and I can only imagine how they feel about Mom being in a bikini.

Leaving Walmart Monday evening I saw a senior lady walking down the side walk in a bathing suit :confused3 now there are some lakes here but none close to the Wally World I was visiting. It was :scared1:

Well I'm getting text ads for "Men Wearing Lingerie" :lmao: :lmao:

By the way - Happy Anniversary (how many days is it?)

Some posts that I think I might agree, with if they mean what I think thay say, become too confusing. Than the Federation that the new Enterprise class (of which my starship happens to be, has the modified warp drive with Time Travel option). The crew really enjoys R and R in the early 21st century.

Tripss out.

On my way to work a few weeks ago I saw a mom walking two kids to the bus stop. she was a little top heavy and wearing a Grey t-shirt type deally. But the arms were cut out, similar to what larry the cable guy wears. HUGE HOLES in fact, so much so that there was considerable side hogan showing. Nothing that would not be showing if she was in a bikini. But she was not, and had no other means of support under the shirt.

It was a bit startling...

I think these women are just screaming for attention. I think is is laughable. How ridiculous to go to your kid's school in a bikini? It is just ludicrous to me! You can't throw a pair of shorts on or a cover-up? Seriously...

Great for pool, park or anywhere you are getting sun. Even at sporting events with bikini top/shorts works.

I don't even care if you have a "perfect" body. If you are fine with it, go for it.

Beyond that though, no. Don't wear one to the bus stop or when you run out to get milk at the local store..

I agree. :faint:

But I do think the bottoms should be covered with shorts or a skirt anywhere except the beach or pool or, in most cases, the park.

Call me a prude but any woman who does that is so desperate for attention you have to feel sorry for her....classless trash in my opinion:duck:

Ugh.
Bikinis shouldn't be allowed in public, except at bikini-appropriate places such as the lake, beach, waterpark or pool.

Since we go to our HOA pool just about every day, I've seen a lot of bikinis. Mostly on girls who are ah..too generous for their swimsuit. Lotsa muffintops going on. And not just on teenagers/young girls..moms too.

There is one mom who has lived in our subdivision for a couple of years now who's been nicknamed the ****. Every year her bikinis get smaller and smaller. The one I saw her in the last time she was at the pool was no bigger than a couple of bandaids with strings attached. Top and bottom. :crazy2: It was tiny in the front and non-existant (which I assumed to be a G-string) in the back. So her whole bottom was exposed. :faint:

At the Typhoon Lagoon gate I see lots of people leaving going to their cars or to the buses wearing only a bikini and some sort of footwear. Some of the bus driver have privately made comments.

I agree with the majority here.

Swimsuits are swimsuits, not public attire. If you're going to the beach or pool, pull on a t-shirt and shorts until you get there and put them back on before you leave.

And I've got to agree with the previous poster whose friend was told to stop looking. The fact is that if it's out there, it's probably going to be stared at. And, honestly, if you don't want stared at, why are you wearing something so skimpy in the first place? JMHO :rolleyes1

Last I checked, bikinis don't hurt anyone, nor is the person walking around nude.

It's none of my business, and I choose to keep it that way.

you circled the block, how many times..???? :lmao: :lmao:

I really don't have a problem with it, :confused3 especially the little girl.

I won't be wearing a bikini to the bus stop, but it doesn't bother me if somebody else does.

I'm by no means a prude.

But bikinis belong at the pool, the beach or your own backyard. That's it. If you've been swimming or sunning or are on the way, then put something over it when going out in public.

This also includes swimsuits. Some of them are so skimpy that they should actually be considered bikinis.

I think bikini's should be kept to the pools, or in your own home if you so desire to walk around like that. If you go to a public pool or the beach you should expect to see people in their swim attire (whether they fit into it or not), but I wouldn't expect to see people at the grocery store with it, I think there is an unwritten rule someone that this isn't kosher.

Two things I'll mention, we have a local water park that is connected to an amusement park. You buy one ticket, gets you into both. When leaving the water park there is a sign that says swimsuits are not allowed in the amusement park. You must put shirts on over the tops and shorts on over the bottoms. I totally agree with this! I have heard them enforce it as well. Ride operators will not let you get on rides with your bikini (or swimsuit) top on as your main and only top.
Next, I recently read on the net that Kanab, Utah is "thinking" of lifting the ban on bikinis at their public pools! Well, goodness people, it is 2008, I agree, they should lift that ancient stonehenge ban! :thumbsup2

I can see walking to the bus-stop <err.....WATERPARK bus-stop that is....not your everyday variety>that way. (Of course, I'm not in a bikini. Regular covers everything swimsuit thankyouverymuch) To dry a little more before slipping on your cover-up. But do they get on the busses in just their swimsuits?!? I can't imagine EVER doing that. Not to mention, those busses are COLD! I'd freeze to death before we got where we were going! :faint:
