Ok, so we are currently staying at SSR for four nights and at POR for one night before, (thinking about making that two nights before at POR) heading over to SSR. One thing I think I would really like to do is to go over to SSR before we are scheduled to stay there and bike around the place for an hour or two to get a good feel of it, to get to know a little ways around it.

So what would you do? Rent a four seater surrey bike for us for 1.5 hrs or four bikes for us for 2 hours. Now this is the make up of us. Me, my husband (he is a big guy, 6.1 feet tall, 250 lbs.) and two 14-year-old girls. Which would be easier? Four separate bikes, or a four seater? Any other advice, tips, ect.

Surrey bike would probably be easier since it's not as rolling land like the BW area. We rented a surrey bike at OKW several years ago and it was very nice riding around. And it would be easier to avoid the bad drivers who aren't looking for bicycles.

So all four people can peddle, right? Don't want those two girls in the back not pulling their own weight here. LoL.

Mom and Dad can just sit there and not pedal and let the girls do it all. All four seats will have pedals.

Just make sure the girls are onboard with riding with mom & dad. As the father of five I seem to remember mine as teenagers liking to keep their distance from us as not to be embarrassed. As adults with their own children they're starting to experience this.

4 bikes so teens can explore around. also, there's a trail that you can bike over to DTD or go the other way and bike to OKW. I think 2 hour rental is about the same as a full day.

I'd go with 4 bikes. Never did like the idea of being tied to the group.

Heck, that's what parents are for. None of their friends will be there and they can just have some fun with Mom and Dad.

I don't think bikes are permitted at Disney Springs.

They aren't, but there are bike racks at Disney Springs. We've ridden bikes from OKW to/from Disney Springs. It was a nice ride, and I would happily do so again.

Ya, I would never ride a bike into Disney Springs, but would ride it to there and park it and lock it up. Don't have any of the bike locks and purchasing four of those could be like $40-$50, that is a deterrent there.

Ya, they don't care. Won't see anyone we know. But I would never allow them to take off on a bike around that resort by themselves. Ohhhhhhh, no, LoL.

If you rent a bike at OKW, it does come with a bike lock. But if you bring your own bike, that could be an issue.
