Lewski709......May I please ask, have YOU ever been to Bike Week yourself to see firsthand what it's REALLY like? :teeth:

YEP ::yes:: sure have. Used to live really close to the Mouse. Now, trying to get back.

I used to work right on US 92 (Volusia Avenue) for over 8 years and the bikers always rode past our building. Some of the women were VERY scantily dressed.

There are places where I wouldn't mind my 14 or 15 year old going during this event and there are some where adults shouldn't even be allowed, but that is what parents are for.

Looking at the bikes can be a lot of fun and just the sheer number of people is astounding.

Would you be accompanying your daughter or would she be going without you? If you were with her, then you could supervise her. If she is going without you, then I'm sure she knows what is expected of her and could be trusted to act accordingly.

Ok, so I guess we know who voted YES. . . . the would be 15yr old.

ABSOLUTELY POZZULTUTELY NOT!!! I've read both threads about this and that's all I have to say, except... the best thing that can happen for a teen is safe boundaries... this is one a minor shouldn't cross, no way, no how!!!

Way to go, SuperMom!!!

My spring break in college used to overlap with biker week for the first day or two - and what we used to see:eek:  on the streets and in the alleys - was eye opening to alot of us college age people :earseek:. I wouldn't recommend it.

I have to agree with the absolutely nots. I've been to about 15 Bike Weeks in the past 20 years and it's definitely not a place for teenagers.
