If I understand your question, yes, Ft. Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge ARE close and if you stay at one you can easily access the recreational activities of the other. Ft. Wilderness has its own marina with a nice selection of boats and bikes and it is a short drive, boatride or walk to Wilderness Lodge. The marina area at Wilderness Lodge is quite close to the area where you can take the walking path to Ft. Wilderness. We never had time to do the path but I have heard it is lovely and you might even see a tiny alligator! This whole area is very beautiful and I hope you all enjoy it. We are visiting this March and I hope to take the kids on the "nature hike" between the two properties.
