I would like to be added to the challenge as well. I was in the challenge in the spring and really enjoyed it. Ready to get back on the bandwagon again!

I would love to join too... First timer with 100lbs to lose! and need to train for the half.

I'm so impressed with all of you doing the 1/2 and full marathon!! I want to but am afraid :scared1: ...maybe 2011? I DO want to do a 5k here in support of Ovarian Cancer research in November, I've been hesitant to sign up but maybe....

Good morning, losers! :goodvibes

I know I am impressed with all of these marathon runners, too. I was thinking about trying to get a C2C medal like corinnak but that would have to wait until
2011. Even a 5K now would be a great start for me. Maybe we need to have TigerLily, our other WISH moderator, pay us a visit to tell us more or whether we could have a BL team on the WISH events for a run.

Welcome, tinashaver! I just read an article in our local paper yesterday that said be a tortoise and not a hare when it comes to weight loss -- I myself am pretty good at that! ;)

Welcome, philbenjc! Plenty of room here in the wagon!

Sign me up as well! I had a great time in BL7 but took the summer off. I lost 17.8 pounds in BL7 and would like to continue that. I gained 2-3 pounds of it back but have done a pretty good job of keeping it off.

My goal this time is to get to 170 lbs. I'm waiting to weigh in Friday but I suspect I will need to lose about 13-14 lbs to reach that goal.

The Walt Disney World Marathon in January will be my first full marathon and need to shed all the extra weight I can!

Welcome, airtime247! Maybe you can share some info about your journey to your first full marathon with us.

I took the QOTD quiz, and I'm "Prepared for Succes!" I'm following my plan this week with a planned indulgence and I'm inviting success in!

Maria :upsidedow

Sounds like fun and good planning!

Count me in! I lost 30 pounds since joining WISH biggest loser a year ago- and have unfortunately found 10 back since slacking off over the summer, so I am back at it. My 40th birthday is Dec. 1st- My goal is to lose 20 pounds before my Disney birthday trip. My original goal last year was 40 pounds before I turned 40, so the goal is still in sight despite my drawback- with hard work and dedication. I am looking forward to joining again!

Good luck to you! We are in the same boat! I will be turning 40 in 11 months. I lost the 30 and gained back 10 over the summer! I vow to be super skinny for my birthday trip in Dec. 2010 (birthday in Aug. but I want to go when it's decorated for Christmas)!

Now hear this! Our thread is moving to the regular section of the WISH boards today. Please use this link

and come in and say hello.

The sticky will stay up with the information but we won't be able to post to it. The participants, COW and coaching lists will now be updated in the new thread.

I hope that we don't lose anybody.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

Hi, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Cindy. I am 45, have been married for 12 yrs and have 3 beautiful (IMO) children ages 7, 4 & 4. I work 30 hrs a week in the lab at a biotech company. I have been a runner for the last 30 yrs, but have always struggled with my weight. I am currently training for a marathon in October and plan to run the Goofy(1/2 marathon and marathon both) at WDW in January. Over the last 2 yrs I've lost 40 lbs and am now at the lowest weight I've been since college. I still have 10 - 15 lbs to get to my goal weight. I love to exercise, but finding the time is a challenge. My biggest challenge is my addiction to sweets. I wish I could have 1 or 2 cookies and not feel like I have to eat the entire bag. I'd like to find a balance between fueling my body and treating my sweet tooth. I took the Sparkpeople challenge and it says I'm on my way. I will really need to work on maintaining my motivation when things get tough. I look forward to this challenge with all of you.

I don't understand it. I said I would reward myself along the way and have a support group and I am starting to track my progress. Maybe they didn't like how I pushed the buttons.
I know you are prepared for success. I got prepared for success, but didn't think I was totally there yet, but on my way. :confused3 We will be successful this time, dona!!

Like a couple of others, I too have lost my mom this past winter...and ate my way through it. It's been tough Kathy
:grouphug: so sorry about your mom. It's been a little over 2 months for me, and some days I feel like I'm just going through the motions, but other days, I can see it getting a little better. I remember when I lost my dad, it was that whole first year of every event without him, and then it did get easier. Hang in there. The support here on wish is amazing.

Well, I got the wii fit, and just love it. My initial age was wii age was 50, and I'm 45, but the next day I was 32!!! Love that!! My younger sister came by and tried it out, but her age came in at 72! She had a hard time with the balancing. Too funny. This morning the boxing got unlocked, so I tried that, and it was really fun. Also went to ww yesterday, and started over. I'm 11 pounds higher than when I joined last sept, but 12 pounds down from my overall high.

Have a great day everyone.:)

I hope that I can still join.

My name is Shirley and I am 56 year's old (wow)! I lost my dh of 30 years just last month to cancer (very unexpected). One of the things that we had talked about was me taking better care of myself (we had planned to do a lot of things together once he was better).

I have never been overweight until about 7 years ago I just started packing the pounds on (up until then always weighed in at 99 lbs, except pregnant with my dd when I weighed in at 119). Went to drs and they ran all kinds of test and nothing seems to be causing the weight gain except I guess getting older. :headache:

I had gotten up to 166 lbs (only 5'2") but during husband's illiness have lost 9.5 lbs. Of course it hasn't been in a good way just not eating because dh wasn't eating. I would eat at work but for some reason when he didn't eat I didn't want to eat either and believe me I tried pushing food on him till I about drove him crazy.

Now that there is only me at home maybe I can start making good meals (he was a very pickey eater) though I'm still trying to figure out how to cook for one. I am hoping to lose around 40 lbs though anything will be better than losing nothing.

Boy do I ramble when I talk about myself. :rotfl2:

Good luck everyone.

Ah Shirley . I am so glad you found us!

Aww, thanks! Have you checked out the new thread yet?

Yes, I just posted over there about what I would be doing at DL or WDW. You need to check it out. ;) Of course the WDW one I would probably be tearing up most of the time missing Raymond (he loved WDW).
