I'm so impressed with all of you doing the 1/2 and full marathon!! I want to but am afraid...maybe 2011? I DO want to do a 5k here in support of Ovarian Cancer research in November, I've been hesitant to sign up but maybe....
I would love to join too... First timer with 100lbs to lose! and need to train for the half.
I would like to be added to the challenge as well. I was in the challenge in the spring and really enjoyed it. Ready to get back on the bandwagon again!

Sign me up as well! I had a great time in BL7 but took the summer off. I lost 17.8 pounds in BL7 and would like to continue that. I gained 2-3 pounds of it back but have done a pretty good job of keeping it off.
My goal this time is to get to 170 lbs. I'm waiting to weigh in Friday but I suspect I will need to lose about 13-14 lbs to reach that goal.
The Walt Disney World Marathon in January will be my first full marathon and need to shed all the extra weight I can!

I took the QOTD quiz, and I'm "Prepared for Succes!" I'm following my plan this week with a planned indulgence and I'm inviting success in!

Count me in! I lost 30 pounds since joining WISH biggest loser a year ago- and have unfortunately found 10 back since slacking off over the summer, so I am back at it. My 40th birthday is Dec. 1st- My goal is to lose 20 pounds before my Disney birthday trip. My original goal last year was 40 pounds before I turned 40, so the goal is still in sight despite my drawback- with hard work and dedication. I am looking forward to joining again!
I know you are prepared for success. I got prepared for success, but didn't think I was totally there yet, but on my way.I don't understand it. I said I would reward myself along the way and have a support group and I am starting to track my progress. Maybe they didn't like how I pushed the buttons.
Like a couple of others, I too have lost my mom this past winter...and ate my way through it. It's been tough Kathy
I hope that I can still join.
My name is Shirley and I am 56 year's old (wow)! I lost my dh of 30 years just last month to cancer (very unexpected). One of the things that we had talked about was me taking better care of myself (we had planned to do a lot of things together once he was better).
I have never been overweight until about 7 years ago I just started packing the pounds on (up until then always weighed in at 99 lbs, except pregnant with my dd when I weighed in at 119). Went to drs and they ran all kinds of test and nothing seems to be causing the weight gain except I guess getting older.
I had gotten up to 166 lbs (only 5'2") but during husband's illiness have lost 9.5 lbs. Of course it hasn't been in a good way just not eating because dh wasn't eating. I would eat at work but for some reason when he didn't eat I didn't want to eat either and believe me I tried pushing food on him till I about drove him crazy.
Now that there is only me at home maybe I can start making good meals (he was a very pickey eater) though I'm still trying to figure out how to cook for one. I am hoping to lose around 40 lbs though anything will be better than losing nothing.
Boy do I ramble when I talk about myself.
Good luck everyone.
Ah Shirley. I am so glad you found us!
Sarah
Aww, thanks! Have you checked out the new thread yet?
