Wow, I'm only allowed 18 pts per day...that doesn't leave much room for cheese and crackers...does it? :rotfl:

I bought the Leslie Sansone...Walk Away the Weight video yesterday and did the 1 mile workout twice ( plus my 10x10 body toning). Tonight, I go for the 2 mile. I'm a little sore but not bad since I have been really pushing the 10x10 toning body toning program I set up. A friend is bringing me TheFirm video...so will try that on Friday.
I ate really well yesterday...but am still holding on the those extra 2 lbs I gained over the weekend when I started intense body toning. I keep hoping one day I will hop on the scales and suddenly be -4lbs. I know the excercising has to pay off soon.

PS...went shopping at Walmart yesterday and bought some really comfy flip-flops that look like crocs for only $6.39. I also go a cute PJ set, they have disney characters. I got the "grumpy" shorts and t-shirt...since my DH says I'm a real grump in the morning before my coffee!
Have a great day everyone and keep wiggling the jiggle. Terri

Trust me if I need the wine, I use all my activity point extra 35 what ever it takes!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: !!!!

Nearing the end of the first week, so I wanted to post for items 1 and 5 on the challenge!

I did the Real Age quiz and it says my Real Age is 3.7 years older than my actual age. I have some genetics playing against me, but there are some things that need to improve that I am actively working on with my doctor, so I'll be glad to see what improvements there are over time with losing weight and getting healthier.

As for how to fit in activity every day, I've started taking the stairs in the morning when I get to work instead of the elevator. It's two flights up, so every step is one more than I was getting before. I also get home in time to walk to the corner to meet my child coming home from school - instead of firing up the computer and checking email, I put on my walking shoes and head outside. The computer can wait 30 minutes!

Keep it up everyone! Today is our "Last Chance" Day. Have a last chance workout, or eat great at your last chance dinner. I can't wait to see LESS of everyone tomorrow!!!!

What a great quote! I can't wait either,

Mary

Hi all!! :wave2:

I haven't been here for a couple of days - sorry!! :flower3:

I've been doing awesome with my workouts - I"m very proud of that!!! It's so nice now that my older DD can be trusted to be home alone - it really makes my walking much easier to do. I just wake her up and tell her that I"m leaving the house, and I'm off walking at 6:10am. I always tell her to get up when her alarm rings, to get ready for school, but she never does - she always sound asleep when I get home

When I do walk, I walk 2 miles, and I've been able to consistently do it in a 1/2 hour. Once my DD is out of school for the summer, I'm going to bump it up to 4 miles, and then 6 miles, and then hopefully 9 miles (I want to do the Tower of Terror run/walk in October). The event requires you to walk a 16 minute mile, so I'm going to really train myself for that :thumbsup2

I've been doing okay with my food. The other night I ate fried chicken, and I felt really guilty after I ate it, plus the grease kinda gave me a stomachache. I always know when I've been eating really good when fried food gives me some indigestion (fried food is a vise for me - I love it!!!!!).

Outside of that, nothing is to new for me.
I'm getting ready for my DD's First Communion Saturday, and I will be very happy when this is over. Planning big parties always stresses me out a little bit. Since I'm an emotional eater, it's been very difficult to not be stuffing my mouth whenever I feel the stress coming on.

Good luck everyone with your weigh in tomorrow:wizard: and with getting some last minute points. I, unfortunately, won't be getting any points for trying something new or stairs. The exercising I'm doing is the same that I've always done, because I truly enjoy it. I did buy some Leslie Sansone tapes, but I haven't opened them yet (I'm saving those for when it's raining outside or really hot with summer coming) so they don't count. When it comes to stairs, I have a quad-level house, so I do stairs all the time, but I haven't been anywhere this week that have an elevator or escalator to walk the stairs instead. Oh well, I have a total of 55 points for this week, and I'm proud of that!!!:cheer2:

Have a good day everyone!!

Just needed to add the how I fit activity in part of the challenge. I fit my exercise in between when the kids go to school and when I have to go to work. So far that has been working well for me.

Good luck every one. I am off for a walk and then grocery shopping. The college kids start arriving tonight. So we need food other than my 100 calorie packs and sugar fee pudding.

Good luck tomorrow every one. I probably won't be able to post results until Sunday since we are going to tallahasse all day saturday- sorry.

I hope it's not too late to ask this...

I was just looking over the challenges and was wondering if doing the stair stepper at the gym would qualify for taking the stairs? I live in a small town and the only public place to take stairs is at the hospital? Just wondering...

Also, take a walk, I'm assuming means outside and not on the treadmill??

I stated earlier about my real age test, but I didn't include what it said I need to change... I need to floss more, eat more veggies and grains, take more potassium and need a social life. I did floss this morning, I've been eating real well lately and I don't know why there isn't potassium in my multi-vitamin...But, I like being a homebody with my husband and son and being an ex-smoker was a neg but I see it as a positive :cool1:

Also, I get up earlier than everybody else and walk the dog or workout in front of the tv if it's raining. I have priortized my exercising at the top of my list of things to do! I've also been getting to the gym 5 days a week!!!

I'm going to try to put the cool clippie into my sig. I hope I figure it out.

One last thing, don't let what the scale says in the morning depress you or move you away from your goals. I have been working out since 3/24 and changing my eating habits and I had only lost 2.7 pounds as of last Friday!! But I feel so much better. I used to weigh myself every morning. It was psycho. Now, I really don't care what I weigh tomorrow. I know I feel better now than I have in years!!! Good Luck everyone

Uuuugh, I'm having major cravings tonight and just want to binge eat. I'm trying so hard not to do it. I don't know what set it off either. :sad1:

I just did the Leslee Sansone 2 mi. walk, for the first time tonight. Last night I did the 1mi....twice..with a 1/2 hr. rest in between. Let me tell ya....the 2mi with hand weights, straight thru is quite a workout for this almost 50 yr. old. I have worked out every night....a bit sore...and really affraid the "almighty scale" will not be nice to me tomorrow.:scared1:

Right now my legs feel like jello and my appetite is raging. So if by tomorrow I happen to lose a lb., it's prolly because I gnawed my leg off.

Doing the workout DVD has also made me face the fact, that I have absolutely no coordination or rhythm. :cool1:
I've been really good on keeping within my WW pts, but if the scale isn't ready to budge......I'll be patient and keep on shaking my booty. I know it will all pay off in the end.

Well, this week didn't go as well as I had hoped. I had ups and downs all week long. I would do really well in the morning and then pretty good at lunch but dinner always seems to be my hardest time. I put snacks in during the day but it never fails that by dinner time I am ready to eat more than just my dinner.

I took the RealAge test and my actual age is 42.6 and my RealAge is 36.5. I am doing pretty good with most of the things they want us to do. I take vitamins regularly and I usually work out 5 times a week. The areas I need to work on are my fruits and veggies and I need to get more potassium in my diet. I am not a big banana fan so I am going to have to figure out a way to get more potassium.

I also love the Leslie Sansone tapes. I have about 8 different kinds and they provide a great variety to my workout schedule. You can do 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 miles depending on which DVD you pick. You can do strength training with hand weights, stretchy, or with this walk belt. So I like to do some cardio and some strength training throughout the week. Also, if I am just not in the mood to work out or it is late I just do a mile which takes about 15 minutes. It is very easy on the knees but it will make you sweat. She also gets you motivated to keep on working out or losing weight.

I hope to have a better week next week and I will get back on track!!

Susan

Hi everyone :goodvibes I hope you all had a good day!

So I've decided that I'll be waking up an hour earlier to do exercises! We have exercise TV on demand (channel 1225 down here) that I'll be working out to :yay:

Good night everyone!!

I just joined on Wed. so I haven't much chance to do the challenge for the week yet..still have Friday.
1) I did the Real Age Quiz and discussed it in my first post.
2) First time activity: I took my pedometer and clocked my block. 3X around is exactly 1 mile. I did the one mile. LOL! Hey, it was first and it was exercise.:)
3) Walking: I did the 1 mile above plus 2 at Disneyland. Yes, DH & I went over there just to get some waling in.:)
4) No extra stairs. Although, I'm actualy thinking about doing "stair laps" here in the house.
5) Daily Activity: Our house needs a lot of work...purging, cleaning, fixing...so I'm doing more and procrastinating less. When I work around the house I try to work faster and pay attention to my posture, which muscles I'm using etc... It' small but when you've been inactive as long as I have, every bit helps.:thumbsup2

I thought I should post how I fit in my exercise on this week. I fit it in by putting my kids on the bus and going to the gym ASAP so I get it done I try to work out 6 days a week some weeks are more successful then others.

:cool1: I didn't know that. I'll have to check that out. :thumbsup2

Well... my first week wasn't that great. I hit the gym 5 days for 75 minute workouts. :cloud9:

My eating habits weren't great. I didn't eat after 6 PM but I find myself snacking on junkfood at work. I really need to go to the grocery store and buy some healthy snacks.

My weight didn't change when I weighed myself this morning. I realize that I worked out very hard this week and it's possible I gained muscle.

I think part of the reason my weight didn't change is that I went out of town yesterday for work and couldn't take my water pill, so my water weight was up. Because 2 days ago, I was down 3 lbs.

I'll find out when I get on the scale tomorrow. If it's water weight, I'll be back down tomorrow. :worship:
