QOTD. First of all Dona, great question. Perfect timing. Nice to daydream.

For me it would be those BW cottages. They are the cutest things I've ever seen. I like checking them out and dreaming and wishing. The suite Oprah stayed in at GF must be nice too. One would think, eh?;) But I'm not a GF girl.

Anyway, I have a tremendous trip booked in December. I've had DVC points at BW and SSR for a couple of years and yet I've never used my booking window, 7-11 months out, at either. Silly. Not a planner. Anyway I just nabbed a NY's week BW guaranteed view studio. Can not wait to sit on my balcony and people watch. Sound a tad creepy :lmao: but fun!:rotfl:

Congratulations Wendy!!! and all the top 10 this week!!!

QOTD: If it was to only enjoy the resort and nothing else I would pick the Polynesion OR Wilderness Lodge. It's really a toss up for me. We are really Wilderness Lodge type people - but I'd really like to stay at the Polynesion, however a lot of why I would like to stay at the Polynesian is the monorail and if I'm only enjoying the resorty the monorail don't mean diddly. And the seclusion of the Wilderness Lodge would be nice. So I guess my answer really is the Wilderness Lodge :rotfl:

Congratulations to all you losers! Especially my buddy, Denise! Way to go!

As for the question of the day:

That's so easy for me. I'd pick the Polynesian with a castle view!

Congratulations to all the LOSERS this week!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I was one of the gainers this week dragging the total down. I am getting back on track though and I won't let it happen again!!

I went to step class on Tuesday. It was fun but too advanced for me and my coworkers because we didn't know the moves and she went WAY too fast. Tonight it looks like I'm gonna be by myself, so I'm planning to do aqua kickboxing. Sounds fun!

QOTD - Hmmm... that's a hard one. Until 2005 I had always believed that it was WAY too expensive to stay "on Disney". Then we did the dining plan and DH says he'll never go any other way :cool1: but we are cheapskates, so we stay at POP. I actually like POP and have a hard time imagining staying anywhere else. I guess if money was no object then I would pick Animal Kingdom Lodge or one of the Epcot resorts - maybe Boardwalk :confused3 . Probably AKL cause it is so cool to look at the animals from your room!

Have a WONDERFUL LOSING day!!

Question of the Day

If it was just you and someone special for just one night, where would you stay on Disney Property?(Castle doesn't count)

That's a tough one! I think that it would be a toss up between the Poly and Wilderness Lodge. Poly would be because my DH talks about how beautiful Hawaii is and how much he enjoyed it. I love the rustic, woodsy feel of WL.

Congratulations to all the winners, ahem, losers! And a special big:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: to Wendy. What a week for you to soar. Fantastic. Great feeling. Hope you are doing well, Wendy.

And a :rotfl2: and a :dance3: and a:cheer2: for me! :rolleyes1 I am a tad surprised but I'll certainly take it. I almost fell off my chair. Thanks for your thoughts Dona. Appreciate it. Yes, it might be a tad tacky to congratulate myself with jumping icons but hey I need all the help, aka me supporting me, that I can get. We really need to be our own cheerleaders, that's for sure. This is it.

Thanks for all your work Brenda. Have a wonderful week everyone.

Congrats to Superstar Wendy and all of the top 10!!! :cool1:

Lisa - not tacky at all to jump for yourself!!! You are totally right about being your own cheerleader. Go for it! and a big congrats for being #2.

Welcome to the newcomers this week! It's great to have you here.

I know. I know. I was being bashful and silly! Thanks Tia. It's my first week on the list. So it's all good.

Lisa

Congratulations to the top ten!!!!
Way to go Buddy!!!!!
Welcome to the newcomers!! This board is amazing and very motivating!!
QOTD: WE would stay at the Wilderness Lodge, it is our favorite place!!!

Hi, everyone! I know I have been totally lax in posting here and I apologize. Work had completely taken over my life for a couple of weeks and then I got sick Monday during the night with the flu, after being sore and achy and tired for 3 days. UGH! I was glad to see that my weight was down 1.4 when I weighed in (and sent it to Karen). That was right before I got really sick (and my weight dropped 6 pounds! I know it wasn't real and I expect all those pounds will reappear soon. ;) ).

With this week's legitimate loss, I am down 6.3 since the start of this BL challenge! That is significant for me after standing still for a while, so thank you so much to my fellow challengers for motivating me! :grouphug:

As for the question of the day -- Grand Floridian!! :thumbsup2 This has always been a dream for us, to be at a monorail resort -- and we did stay at the Polynesian in July 2004, though I was so sick at that point that I barely remember it. :sad1: So, DH and I are staying at the Grand Floridian for our second honeymoon. Our Disney Vow Renewal is January 12, 2009. The night before, I will be at GF and have a bunch of girlfriends with me for the night. The night of our VR, DH and I will stay there alone together. We are both really looking forward to it!

Disney hotel....well, any actually! I've only been to WDW twice....1982 for our honeymoon - stayed at my DSis in Lakeland as her house was empty(she was in Iowa for our wedding) and in 1996 - stayed again with her with 3 kids.

Sadly, I'm really the only one in the family that craves Disney....though DD is starting to get the bug after TOT.

OMG I can't believe it! I figured I'd make the top 10, but not #1!!!!!:cool1: Congrats to all the losers!

I am typing with 2 hands. A bit awkward wit the sling but it's better than hunt and peck. Had PT today and it was not bad. I do have a little pain but not much. Tomorrow I get to shower. YAY!!!

Talked to my nutritionist today and she gave me some good ideas. Tried rice milk in my oatmeal today and it was good. Baby steps but I'm gettting there.

Whoever is in charge of buddies, mine has gone AWOL. Could I get a new one? Thanks

Congratulations, Wendy! :woohoo: And to all of the top ten losers! You guys ROCK!!!! :cheer2:

Keep up the great work, everyone! I am sure we will see a LOT more people reporting losses next week!

QOTD - so how important is it to wake up and exercise and then have a delicious treat at the bakery :rotfl2: If you answer yes to both of those questions - why the BW of course :thumbsup2 put on those walking shoes and hit the "wood" and then off to the bakery -nice table out front and people watch a little bit and just revel that you are at WDW.

I vote for the Poly too - DD (Molli) and family booked a cruise so that was their "place of choice" for the land portion (and we joined them for land days at the parks) - well yes - I get that - but to save time to meet them, etc, the monorail and a hefty price tag for a "cheapo" we justified staying there too. And it also took me saying to DH (who will probably never go to Hawaii with me) that if we stayed at Poly - I would stop the Hawaii chatter - I have kept my part of the bargain to date (but maybe NOT forever) -Poly was very nice - but in reality we just were not there "enough" to say that I felt like it was the most awesome thing going - great mind you - and the castle is an Awesome view.............

hey - where ever you chose - it will be with your "honey" and at WDW so it has to be pretty darn good - wait! I just remembered BOMA - would you be dining there? like maybe you could go there and eat and eat and eat and someone could "roll" you to your room - just another option for consideration :yay:

CONGRATS to the TOP 10!!! FABULOUS JOB

Congratulations to all the big losers!!:yay:  And hang in there to all of us maintainers and gainers.

As far as the question of the day, I can't help any. I've never had a chance to stay at any of them. When we've had a chance to go that way, we've always have stayed with cousins in town. May your special night be absolutely awesome! :cloud9:

wendy
I can be your buddy. I don't mind a second one.

Hii everyone,

What wonderful posts today!

CONGRATS TO THE TOP 10 - WAY TO GO. !! As I have said before though, we are all winners for being here, making the effort to be healthier.

QOTD This is a very timely question for me as tonight DH and I sat down and talked about where we want to stay when we go back to WDW the first week of December. Last fall we stayed at POFQ. We are going back in December, including DD (the 3 bears are together again, see trip report in siggie for explanation of this verbage). Any how, if money were no object I would pick either Grand Floridian or Contemporary.

Getting back to deciding where we are staying in December, back at POFQ, probably building 4 or 7.

Before I forget, - welcome to the newcomers.

Does this size work any better?
th_weeklyBL.jpg

If so, just put a th_ before the "weeklyBL" in the link address when editing your signature. This will make it a "thumbnail" of what it was before. You could do the same with the other clipart. Just put the th_ after the last slash.

To put them side by side, delete the hard return between the two link addresses. Out a space or two between them, but do not hit the enter key.

As for the link thing...
Type the words that you want like "Wish journal". Then copy the link to your journal. Next, highlight the words you want to link ("wish journal" or whatever). Click the "insert link" icon at the top - the earth with a link of chain in front of it. Paste your journal link into the box that pops up. Click OK.

When you save your signature, it should now show the words as links.

Hope those all work!
