Down 2.7 for me, for a challenge-to-date loss of 1.9 pounds.

Last week I was only up a little over my start weight, but I was up more than 2.5 pounds over my most-recent low weight (which came on 1/6). And I had hormones working against me, so I knew the scale wasn't going to move much until Sunday or so. Kept on plan anyhow, and even got a lot more exercise than I'd been getting in the past.

Next week may or may not be a loss, depending on the second set of hormones. Weather's going to be icky and work is ramping up, so the exercise will probably taper down a bit. (Mostly I walk outside in the afternoon.)

It is so inspiring to read all of your losses! This is my first weigh in week and I lost 8 pounds. :woohoo: I have really been making good choices over the past two weeks and paying extra close attention to portion sizes. (I actually attend WW meetings on Friday, so I hold my weight over to Tuesday and then report). I need to get myself to the gym, or at least to the track to keep the pace. I have heeded the challenge and I have eaten breakfast almost everyday and I have avoided all fast food. I have gotten the water most of the time and avoided snacking or random eating totally. It has been challenging, but we are going to Alaska this summer and I am so tired of not being able to do things because I am afraid of how my body will fit in the *whatever*. I can so understand about the Astro Orbiter. I hope that everyday becomes easier. I am loving the idea about the white board. Thanks for sharing!:goodvibes

I have a great buddy, Alyssinwonderland and that has really helped too! Best wishes to everyone for a great, on target, week!

Well Annette and I finally in our room. I think we walked for 8 hours straight. We walked from Union Station to our hotel which is east of Michigan Ave and North of the river. Then we shopped all the way up to bloomingdales at the beginning of Michigan Ave. On the way we shared a small pizza and some spinach cheese things. I just realized that was all we ate today how crazy.

When we were shopping today annette bought an outfit that was a smaller size than she used to wear

Have a great night everyone.

Amanda

only 1 more night before oprah

I have stayed the same as last week. No gain or lose here. Sad but hopefully will report a loss next week. Been really busy with getting back into the school swing since the holidays. Hoping to be more productive in exercises and better choices on the food.

Hi everyone. I am down 1.5lbs this week. I'm swamped with work, but I'm still trying.
Thanks!
Jana

Just wanted to give a shout out to my buddies, mickeynminnie and aurora23! Hi! :yay: You guys are doing great!!! :cheer2:

No worries, buddy! A maintain is better than a gain and the loss will soon follow. I'm sure it was a hectic weekend with DH home as well. You'll be back in the swing of things soon and the scales will start showing it. Plus, you're halfway there on your exercise challenge so that's good too. Keep up the hard work!!!

I lost 1.8 this week. It was 3 before the weekend, but I'll take it. I was doing so good, but ate too much sodium over the weekend.

I am happy to report I am down 2 pounds!!! YAY!!!

YAY to my buddy too seaspray!!! GO GIRL GO!!! :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2:

I got the best workout dvds at walmart sunday. I got BL cardio max and scult and tone, and i got dancing with the stars... THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I really like the BL ones b/c they have the BL cast instead of these teeny ppl that already have the six pack abs, a size 2 and wear a bikini to exercise in!!! ( a little dramatic I know, but i hate those dvds, it's discouraging to me when i don't see results as soon as i think i should. anywhoo...

I'm hoping next week will be just as good if not better. I am getting ready to start and today has been torture!!! I have cleaned my entire house walked twice, and did 2 workout dvds. (I was off today, so I had a lot of time on my hands) I gave intonight to seduction and had about 1/2 cup rasberry chip yogurt, but it was no sugar added, low fat, and everything else i did shouldn't effect me to bad.

Congrats to all losers, and keep up the good work everyone!!!

PS Sorry I'm so late posting. Time snoke up on me tonight.:upsidedow

Had a good day today. I got up and did a mile WATP. I so miss my morning outdoor walks but the weather isn't allowing for that so...I am going to have to get up extra early to do morning workouts with my indoor walking. So for now it will be 1 mile and I will work up to getting up early enough for a 2 or even 3 mile workout.

I went shopping today for lunch items. I have started to bring my lunch with me to work (again) and needed stuff to bring, so I can continue to stay away from fast food. So I bought salad mix and rice cakes and some apples. I will have to hit my favorite deli for Turkey breast slices to add that protein in.

And then this evening I did the BL scult & shape & the 4 mile Walk Slim. Adding more strength training is one thing that I truely need to work on. I am great at doing my cardio but really need to add the muscle building strength training.

I'd be happy to take another buddy Vija.

I lost another 3lbs this week making my total so far 5.5lbs!

I am so happy seeing how it was not a great couple days with Flo visting and all I took 2 too many days off from exercising.

Great job buddy!

I was down 2 pounds for the week, for a total loss of 5 pounds.

Morning~

Wow - I missed a day and we are into 5 pages of posting!

CONGRATS to all that have losses this week and :wizard: :wizard: to all you have tried hard and it hasn't happened - it will  Keep up the postive imaging and only only allow those thoughts - WE CAN DO IT - remember what goes in our minds stays there - so get that body image etched in and keep that vision! all the way to GOAL!

PV - you said "it's like a game" - that is really what got me motivated and on target my very first go round of losing on WISH - it was game thinking that made it "fun". I still like using my Palm program of posting my food info - it really does make it so darn black and white - if I input every single morsel - there is no guess work - it reveals if I stay on plan or not !

Thanks to my buddy Chamonix (Ann) and to my original buddies (ohMom, TammyNC and AnnieT - we still have an email group) I stayed on my tm for an extra mile yesterday:banana: My origianl plan was 3 miles, I got started and I talked myself into "it would be okay to just do 2" - THEN - I realized that I had buddies that were working at this healthier life choices too AND - I needed to stop whining and just get the 3rd mile done! - SO I did it and I have my buddies to thank for the encouragement and support:yay: (Okay, so they were probably sleeping while all this "inter-termoil" was going on - but the point is my BUDDIES came through - just when I needed them :thumbsup2

Down 1 pound for me this week - that is 5 lbs total and I am SO HAPPY that I get to change my clippie - I needed that boost:banana:

Donac - congrats to you and your son's good news! - It is nice to get a $$ monetary reward when one works hard - what school will he be attending?

I am off to have a personal training session with Leslie Sansone :rolleyes1 one where she and I work on using weights - I love it when I get to stay at home (wind chill like really really cold here) and she "stops by my house" for our personal training session

Make it a good day of choices and onward and downward!

Good Wed. Morning everyone

It is cold and chilly here in Jersey but the sun is supposed to come out and it is supposed to a nice day.

Thanks for all the kind words about my son's scholarship. He will be attending Rowan University in the fall. Rowan is a state school here in Jersey. For those of you familar with colleges it used to Glassboro State College where Pres Johnson and the Russian leader at the time met in 1968. A Mr Rowan donated megabucks to the school to start an engineering program so they thought that they should name the school after him and the engineering building. The engineering program is only 10 years old but it has already made the top 20 engineering schools for its size in US News and World Report. My son will be studying Civil/Environmental Engineering. Part of it is dealing with structures and he has said that he would consider working at Disney building rides. Who knows what he will do but he is happy that the place he wanted to go has offered him a lot of money for all the hard work that he has put in to school.

Congrats to all the losers. I am impressed with all the great totals Don't forget to keep working on the challenge. ONly a couple more days. I have to eat one more new veggie or fruit and I have 15 points. I have not had fast food all week, I have had my water, breakfast and have been working hard on my socks so that I wouldn't snack. I think I should be able to have a perfect score on this one. ANyone else?
\
Have a great day. I will check in later

good morning folks.....so much going on here!

tell Oprah "HI" for me...i'm sure she'll remember me. i waved directly to her in the hallways at Harpo when we were fortunate enough to go watch a taping (we wore jeans i'm sure of it ;)) it was only about 5 years ago, i'm sure she'll remember me.....hope you get to watch a good show!

today is my DH's birthday..they have a backwards tradition at his work where on your own birthday you bring in donuts, that way you are chipping in all year for cakes and goodies for co-workers. i was thinking donuts sounded really really yummy......good thing they won't make a stop at my house!

I need your help!!

First of all, thank you to the 60 people that have already reported their weekly weight.

Please report your weight using the number of pounds ie xxx pounds
If you would like to add your change for the week that is OK ie I lost 2 pounds. Remember weights can be reported in 1/10 of pound increments ie xxx.x pounds.

Please report by midnight Tuesday
If you are late report as soon as you remember. I know sometimes RL (real life) is more important.

Please PM or email your weekly report to me
I am not much of a contributor on our weekly thread but I do read every post. I think Tuesdays are great when everyone checks in to report their weekly progress. It helps to keep us all accountable and it's fun to share your success. Yesterday I noticed several reports from people I never got a PM or email from. I went through the entire thread and checked. 8 people reported their progress here but never reported to me.

Now folks, help out a weight keeper here please!! Please report your weekly weight to me by PM or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. Remember to report by midnight Tuesday and remember to report in pounds ie xxx pounds (not just I lost x pounds). PrettyPlease!!

Thank you for your attention to these important matters

Have a healthy day!

YAY! Congrats to my buddy on her weight loss!!! :woohoo: :yay:  :cheer2:

Your work out videos sound great! I'll have to look for them, because I do need some motivation to try and get moving. :yay:

I'm down 2 pounds this week. I'm thrilled.

I didn't get to the gym yesterday, I wasn't feel well, bad enough for me not to bother. Okay, having to be about 4 feet from the bathroom all day was really what got me to stay home, I'd have probably gone anyway. :sad1:

I feel much better today, must have been something I ate, so I'm heading back in this morning in about 10 minutes.

Cyber High 5 to my buddy for posting a loss! You're doing awesome. You logged in more miles than me this past week, you're doing great! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm off to walk on the track now and then get a nice warm uninterrupted shower at the gym. My husband laughs that I'd rather take a shower at the gym, no kidding, at the gym no one is sticking their head in the shower saying "mom, I need..." or "honey, where is..." Actual privacy, now there's a concept. :lmao:

So I'm off to the gym and when I get home I have to book our vacation for June, we're going to surprise DD for her 4th birthday! :dance3: I can't wait!

Just wanted to say great job buddy! I didn't get a chance to read the thread yesterday! All those injuries are paying off!! Glad your feeling better!

Hey everyone! I am doing really good and I am so proud of myself! I gave into a little bit of temptation and had popcorn last night. Air popped with a bit of real butter. Now, I know it isn't too bad, I think next time I will just do a smaller bowl. But otherwise I am doing so good, getting in the exercise, the water, and everything else, logging onto sparkpeople daily and everything else. I just keep thinking Astro Orbitor... Astro Orbitor.... Astro Orbitor....!:rotfl:

Congrats to all the losers! and hugs to the maintainers and those that gained a bit, I know you will be awesome losers next time!

I'd be happy to take another buddy Vija.

I lost another 3lbs this week making my total so far 5.5lbs!

Thanks, I will keep you posted

I posted this on another board but don't think i have here.... when i was attending weight watchers mettings my group leader said to think of your weight loss in sticks of butter!! 4 sticks of butter is 1 lbs of butter!!! so with a loss of 4.5 lbs i've lost 18 sticks of butter!!! just gone off my body!!! go carry around 18 sticks of butter and see how heavy that is!! I'm not carrying it around anymore and i feel great!!!

I'm having a great time with my Buddy!! Hi Cathy :jumping1: it's great to have someone to share things with!!

Hope everyone has another good week!! :thumbsup2

That is pretty cool regarding the sticks of butter, what a cool visual, and I am so glad that you are having fun with your buddy! And congrats on the awesome weight loss!!!

I lost 4 lbs. this week. Since I was late in joining, this was my first full week so I am SOOOOOO excited. :cool1: I finally went "public" over the weekend with my plan/goal to lose 40 Lbs. by the time we leave for WDW on August 8. I posted the # of lbs. I want to lose on the white board that is hanging on my fridge. Of course DH, DD and DS wanted to know what the number was but have been very supportive since. My DS gave me a huge hug this morning when I changed the 41 to a 37!!!!!

Ahhhh, that is so sweet regarding your DS! It is so awesome when family is so supportive! and congrats on your great loss this week!

WOW, congrats on the 8# loss!!!! That is fantastic. Those good choices are paying off. Oh, Alaska, that sounds so cool. What are you planning to do there? I know that every day will become easier and you have a great attitude going, you will be having a great time in Alaska!!! So glad you have a great buddy too!

Hi Bev, You are so right that the "game" aspect makes it fun. I love games and am very cometetive when playing them, so it is nice that it translates into a competitive way for me to keep going and make good choices!

Congrats on the new clippie! I'll be joining you in a new clippie next week, that is my goal.

I too love Leslie Sansone coming to my house! She is awesome and inspiring. have a great training session!:thumbsup2

Have you tried any of the butter sprays? I put the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray on my popcorn and it works out great for me. Just a handful of calories and I get the butter flavor on my popcorn. (Plus, I find it gets less soggy as I spray the top layer with 1 spray, eat it, spray the next layer, etc.

Morning everyone!:)

Wow, I'm trying to keep up with all of the posts! What an awesome source of info and support we have going on here!:cool1:

acourtwdw2 & acourtwdw - Hope the two of you are having an awesome time! Sounds like you got some great shopping in and exercise as a bonus. Annette - I'm so happy for you getting that smaller size! Way to go, buddy! Keep up the super work!

I lost 1.8 this week. It was 3 before the weekend, but I'll take it. I was doing so good, but ate too much sodium over the weekend.
I'm right there with you on the weekend thing. I'm a daily weigher:upsidedow myself (motivates me to stay on top of things a little better), but even if I stay within my calories guidelines on the weekends, if we eat out, for some reason I gain. Must be the extra sodium in restaurant foods.

Yum!!! That sounds so good. I will have to look for it at the store this weekend. I LOVE popcorn, but just have to have butter. Thanks for the tip!popcorn::

I love the white board idea someone mentioned earlier as well. I am doing something similar. I just started writing my weight on our family calendar in the kitchen each day. I'm also contemplating taking over part of the fridge for myself, kinda an inspiration corner/don't you dare open the refrigerator door spot.:rotfl:
I'm thinking of putting a "before" pic of myself, a pic of me when I was younger and at the weight I would like to get back to, maybe a mirror so I can see what I look like right now (and maybe talk to myself a little;) ) and an inspirational quote or two.

Okay, I am in need of some workout dvd's. I know many of you use WATP, but we don't have a treadmill. I've several of you like the BL dvd's. Which ones are your favorites and what is good for a beginner. Also, has anyone heard about/used "The Firm" system? Good/bad, like it/not?
Any other suggestions would be helpful as well.

Thanks a bunch!

Have a super day!!:dance3:
