Family wants hot meatball sandwiches for dinner tonight though, trying to figure out how I am going to do that one low cal. Maybe I will just have to have smaller portion. Less meat more bell peppers?

My family loves meatball subs too, but I almost always use ground turkey (we really can't tell the difference) or at least lean ground beef. For my sub I usually just use one or one and 1/2 meatball (or 'turkeyball' in our case :lmao:) and slice it in thin slices, then place it along the roll. No cheese for me, and extra veggies if I include them. Not at all 'bad' if you do it that way! You could also just make an open faced sub and use 1/2 the roll.

Yum. sounds good. getting hungry....

Okay, I thought I'd share a before pic and a somewhat current pic in the hopes someone will find it helpful. I've been at this since January 2005. I've taken off ~70 pounds and stayed within the same 3 pound range for a really long time. Hoping to break this Cam-created plateau and start plunging downward on the scale.

This is me in July 2004, at least 20 pounds before the all-time high I hit in December 2004 right before my 4th heart surgery.

Cam you look great. How did you get so in shape to do all the running. These old knees don't work so well any more. I can do the classes but running??

June 29 I don't know I was just checking on the last week of may, but 4 days is just too short.
 
I am down 5 lbs I am so excited. I went to WW, went to the grocery store to get the right kinda food to eat. I am going to do this !!!!

As far as my buddy I pm'd her and I never heard anything will still try I hope we connect.
 
Hello everyone. When I registered my initial weight, I am pretty sure that I just rounded to the nearest pound and didn't do the 1/10 of a pound. So I figure I am going to go by the 1/10 of a pound and in that case I gained .6lbs. Really it could only be a gain of .2 or .5 or whatever but I know I didn't record that 1/10 initially.

I am ok with that though, .6 could be water weight, or muscle swelling from lifting recently.
 

Joanne -- I mostly speed walk, with a bit of jogging. It is definitely do-able! Feel free to PM me if you are interested in more detail. I am so worried about boring other people. ;)
 
YAY BL Buddy!!!!! Great job! You are an inspiration with all of your healthy behaviors this week! (I lucked out with my assignment! :worship: )

I was not quite as good with the exercise, but am working on it. My focus was on getting on program and staying on program and I have done pretty well. :cool1: I was down 3.5 lbs. this morning from last Tuesday, so I was quite pleased. (though admittedly it's a distorted loss....definitely some serious water weight there. I'll still take it though! :thumbsup2 )

Looking forward to starting some challenges. Anything to keep us on the right track!

Okay don't know what happened this week. I worked out like before but gained 2 lbs back. I know that it was that time of the month but didn't figure I would gain that but did. :( Well, going to have to do better for next week. :) Hello back to ya Tia and congrads on the weight lose of 5 lbs. Way to go. Hope I get my weight going down again....lol

Tara -- I'll bet you'll see those 2 pounds fall off this week. You did all the right things. Sometimes the scale just does not cooperate. The more meaningful measure is how great you have to feel about all that exercise! :cool1:

How are you doing with checking in with your buddy? Have you been able to reach them? If you didn't send in your buddy information and still would like a buddy please let me know ASAP! I have one person who has not heard from their buddy. Anyone else? Please PM me and let me know!

My buddy's great. We've pm'd a few times. I'm hoping to hear tonight how her weighin went and how her country line dancing class was?!? Hope you had a good weigh in Mercobear!!!!

I think the buddy system is awesome to have especially where the weekly threads are so busy, it's nice to feel a connection to someone.
 
This is my first Biggest Looser!!! and really my first post on here... i lost 3 lbs this week. I'm also doing WW and going to the Gym every day for at least an hour... I'm taking a Kwando Class 2 nights a week and let me tell you that you work muscles you didn't know you had!!!
I don't have a buddy yet.. but just PM Princess Vija so i should get one soon. :) Conrats to everyone! Sounds like you had good week!!
 
Only down about .6 lb this week, but I've been REALLY bad about my water. With the kids home over break we got off schedule and caffeine was my crutch!;) Now I've got to kick the Diet Pepsi habit and get to drinking my water. I'm getting back on track on the exercise. I LOVE the Exercise challenge thread, it really helps to motivate me!

I have a great buddy, Foxfiregrrl. It's been really easy to keep up with her because she has a WISH Journal and does a great job of keeping up with it. She's already insipring me to do a better job of checking in!:) See I'm here!

For this next week, I'm planning to really focus on the exercise, diet, and water and earn my 10 lb WISH clippie back! I lost it over the holidays and I miss it!!
 
Ok. I will admit that I haven't reached out to my buddy. I will do that tonight.

I lost 14 lbs this week! Wow! I am so excited. :yay:

Good luck to all those who are during the Marathon. I want to do it before I turn 40. So, I will have to do it next year.

I don't know how to post pictures, otherwise I would post a "before" picture.

i have been skimming b/c i got far behind but WOWSER there are ALOT of pounds melting away!!

my buddy is a familiar WISH friendly face, and either i missed her post for this week or she hasn't posted her WI result? disneychrista? but at any rate she's great and is very qualified to kick me in the tushy where i need it!

got a great workout in today and did well in the eating dept too. off to relax before BL starts! onward and downward losers!
 
Hi everyone!

It sounds like you guys are off to a great start! I had lost 3 pounds and somehow gained 1 back so I officially have only lost 2 pounds. I was kind of upset this morning since I really haven't cheated but I won't let it get me down...I will get right back on that treadmill!

My buddy, (whgrn) Hi Wendy!! is great. We emailed right away. She seems like such an awesome person. I love the buddy idea. It's nice to not only have support but be able to give it to someone who understands exactly what you are going through...Thanks again to everyone who put this idea into action!

Tonight I made chicken tacos for dinner. I used the crock-pot and made shredded instead of frying the chicken in oil. I also "dry-fried" the tortillas instead of deep-frying in oil. It really turned out great!

Ok off to the treadmill.

I did my treadmill and elliptical today, and stayed OP all day again, and drank lots of water. So it was a good day!:thumbsup2

Well I am down 3 pounds as of this morning's weigh in.

We are all doing an excellent job and even those who have gained or not lost, this is a journey but get back at the program.

As far as my buddy goes - she is great! We have already PM'd back and forth, thanks for the support flafan(Diane). I hope you are successful real soon in getting that treadmill assembled.

I am also ready for any of the fun challenges in store - let's keep in fun, exciting and interesting.

I have noticed some slowness in the board - is it just in the evening due to heavy traffic? I thought there were new servers to help with this????:headache:
 
I'm down 4.8 pounds this week :cheer2: I'm SO excited about that because I think that is the biggest one week loss that I have ever had!! :cool1: :cool1: That is some really good inspiration to keep moving!

That said I better get my tush in gear... I slacked off by not exercising today even though I was scheduled to :sad2: Gonna have to make up for it tomorrow :thumbsup2

Mom2Alix is my buddy and I have really been enjoying getting to know her, too! I think that having a buddy is going to really help, especially. like Mikamah said, since this thread is so busy.

Hi ...had a very emotional last few days and also bought a new scale so I will use the number that that new scale said as of Saturday and then use what it said today!!! Make sense???

So I am down 3.6#!!! :cool1:

I am happy because I di not binge eat or eat at a fast food rest. I may not have been as truthfull to the numbers (keeping track of calories) but di dnot make the worst choices either!:thumbsup2

Week goal....swim daily for 1 hour and keep track of my intake on FiT Day on a daily basis as well.

Congrats to everyone for their progress and their dedication in the hard days!
 
Hey WISHers - I only "skimmed" through the post but we are a bunch of great losers - I really like keeping company with you - cuz' I have been OP all week with your help - hooray- and the scale showed a loss of 4 lbs today!

Congrats to all you are making the effort to make a change to healthier habits - and - it will happen - I know my 4 has some holiday "fluff" loss and next week will be the test of endurance - but I am feeling the "mojo" and plan to keep it up!

I am off to PM MelC - she said she was joining us and she stopped by but I don't think she has been back.................

and to my buddy Chamonix - hope you have had some good OP days too! I PM'd you - but I think you have been at the gym or your DD has taught you how to enjoy U Tube! Actually, I bet you have been at the gym lifting those weights you like to work out with - anyway - hope you are able to report a loss this week too!

PV - so what if it is a .5 down - it's down - and hooray for you making some great resolves - one day at a time and by the time you are at 30 days - you won't even want McDonald's or chips - you will be SO PROUD of yourself that you will just be excited about making it to another 30 days - and another, and another !!!
 
Well I managed to pull off some of that pound I lost over the holidays and for almost 2 weeks at WDW. I am happy that I did not gain but sad that it was not more...I want to shovel food into my mouth right now...not good! I have heard from my buddy and have just sent her a PM back. Gads...the worst thing at work today, they upgraded our server and I can't DIS any longer between clients:scared1:
