Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I've tried the Fiber One cereal...it's really good!

I guess I missed that part last night. I eat the honey clusters FO cereal, not the one that looks like twigs. Which one did they have on last night?

Oh yeah...the Fiber One bars are really good, but they do make you toot:blush: My DD won't take them to school anymore either :rotfl2:

The fiber one bars really are excellent. We all really like them here! We also like the fiber one pop tarts. Haven't tried the cereal, it doesn't look like it would be very good. Anybody here actually tried it?

Yes. It's actually pretty good, IMO. Just remember, when they say a serving is one cup, they mean ONE CUP!! Too much and you'll be sorry. ;)

I tried a bar once and it tasted good, but like a PP said, it gave me really bad gas! :scared: Never had that problem with the cereal. I think I'd like to try the yogurt sometime.

As annoying/funny as product placement is, I think we've proven right here that it WORKS! :joker:

Oh, I forgot I've tried the yogurt. It's pretty good, nothing special, just yogurt but DD likes it because it doesn't have any "stuff" in it, meaning no bits of fruit, etc. I happen to like little bits of fruit in my yogurt so I don't think it's anything that great, but nothing wrong with it either.

Sounds like the cereal is actually ok. Guess I'll have to try that next time it's on sale.

I don't think it is. I think it's all team play right now. As long as there is a Jillian team on the chopping block that one will go. Bob's team is picking them off one by one.

I thnk they need to get away from Jillian's Team and Bob's Team and just let everybody be on one team -- the winning team. I hate that one Team slowly votes off the other team, that's not helping them do the one thing they all need to do -- lose weight. I would much prefer two teams girls and guys. The lowest percentage of weight loss on each team goes home.

I agree...or at least just for one season it would be fun to see what happens.

I usually get the Fiber One flakes withe clusters. I can't eat the original one anymore...while the FLAVOR is ok, the texture is just awful. It starts out ok, but instantly turns to grainy mush (like eating drywall) when you chew it. The stuff does work great though...makes IT like clockwork.

I have a question about the Last Chance Workout and the weigh-in. Does anyone know how long it is between the two? It would seem to me that the LCWO wouldn't be effective for immediate weight loss ... that is same day weight loss. Then again, I don't think I understand how long it takes for the body to metabolize stored fat.

But it is a game & money is the final result. And if there was not any drama no one would watch. Did anyone watch the show on maybe lifetime the "diet Tribe" i think I wanted to but didn't.

It always appears as though it's daylight during the LCWO and then dark during the weigh in, so there is at least SOME time in between the two.

I have been watching it, there is one episode left. I found it to be pretty boring. The girls are a bunch of whiners. They had to climb a rock wall and all 5 of them cried. This is two weeks before their final weigh in. It seems like all they do is complain. They aren't pushing themselves like on the Biggest Loser. They have to lose 30 lbs in three months. It's a very realistic expectation so hopefully they all won't gain it right back again.

My favoirte product placement was the Cool Whip in the can I saw Bob do with one of last season contestants (Shellay's daughter). I mean, this show is about getting healthy, so lets tout a product that has all kinds of nasty stuff in it! They don't bother me but they are sort of funny. And the part where they were eating the Fiber One last night, all proclaiming how delish it was cracked me up. Fiber One is basically a laxative in a bowl. They should have then gone on to do a diddy about the virtues of Charmin bath tissue after they all ate that stuff.

I was really glad to see Joelle turn things around. And was so relieved to see Dan keeping his hard work going.

Yeah that one cracked me up. "Hey, while you are eating that chemically laden jello with no nutritional value, why don't you add some of this other crap to it that also has a bunch of who knows what in it and make it really yummy?" Why not "Hey, have an apple.":lmao:

Hello? Help? Have I been under a rock? How in the h e double hockey sticks did I miss the fact that Daniel and David are from NC? AND, not only that, but they are both from down the road and Daniel just 2-3 miles? How did I miss this? I had David's picture up and DH was walking by and said, "hey, I think he works at Food Lion." I must need a vitamin because these sorts of facts don't get past me.
Kristi! :rotfl2: I even thought of you when I saw they were from your neck of the woods. Okay- Now you have to go take a sneaky picture of him next time you're at Food Lion! ;) :lmao:

I am only half way through tonights episode but I have to say THANK GOODNESS Dan won that challenge. David really needed someone to show him how to eat differently. That poor kid--he has no role model and no earthly idea how to eat right. Have you seen what I assume is his dad? They go out to eat and the dad just chuckles at the bad choices he makes.
I agree. What a mess his family is. :sad2:

If you have Comcast, it is On Demand. I haven't decided if I want to watch. From the reviews, I'm thinking not.

I actually like Dietribe. The girls were a bit whiney last week (several of them are very afraid of heights so that 40 ft. rock wall was scary for them). But they stick together. They are all in this together, there's no competition. I also like it that they work with a therapist who helps them get to the root of their issues. Its also one hour, not so much filler and drama as BL. And Jessi the trainer, is very cute!

To me its more realistic. They continue to live at home, cook their own meals, get thorugh family dinners and parties and work. Its not life at the ranch, I think they have more chance of staying successful since they are doing the work on thier own so to speak.

Dude, I am so going to Food Lion tomorrow, where I can buy new Cool Whip in a spray can and Wrigley's Spearmint gum.

Hwy HomeschoolMama ... my old eyes can't read your font color. There is not enough contrast on the screen. Sorry, but I'll have to skip your posts in the future if you don't use a different color :guilty:.

LOL! I'm used to everyone posting in different colors on the Focker thread that I didn't even notice the green.
