Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I also thought it was interesting that yellow team told Joelle that the scale doesn't lie when she was the one who only lost two pounds at home and claimed she had been working out and gained muscle.

::yes:: Aubrey was talking a lot of smack for someone that didn't put in the effort for a MONTH! I kept waiting for Joelle :snooty: to let her have it.

Joelle needs to get some counseling to figure out why she is so resistant to losing the weight.

I think me FF button was in overdrive last night, I started watching at 9, and still caught up at the end. With that said was Cheerios the only product placement, and are they new? I don't remember seeing any others?

Great show last night. I think casting looked for people who were not affraid to share their feelings. Tara, Aubry, Crazy Joelle. Oh by the way - Joelle - anyone home, are you in there. Does she realize walking around and staring in gym does not shed the pounds. Oh and people can see you - you are not invisible!!

IMO - time to go to individuals if we are seriously concerned with individuals health issues. Both teams below line last night had one person pulling their own weight. Could we put Mike and Carla on one team to let them both stay. I know that is not how the show works. Wishful thinking.

OK so Joelle is delusional.

I was upset by the way the people there acted toward her as they voted her off.

I thought it was disgusting and cruel.:sad2:

My opinion of the some of those people went down big time.

ITA!!! I think that the girl on the Green Team, Tara, was way out of line.

Since I was sleeping--Anyone have the numbers for the weigh-ins?

All the stats are here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Biggest_Loser:_Couples_2

I had to laugh at yellow girl - yep, a lot of talk from someone who lost 2 pounds in a month. I wonder if she tried to play a game and drink water, since she then went on to lose 10 pounds at the second weigh-in. And the "4-5 hours in the gym each day" when she was home comment... LOL!!!!

Yes, I think Blue definitely drank water!! They looked mighty happy with their low weight loss - LOL!

Joelle - she's piece of work. For a minute there, at the meeting, it looked like she had gone normal on us. Then she kept talking... LOL!

And what's with all you Carla-defenders? She lost 2.58%. Not counting the blue water-drinker, she had the third lowest weight loss. Not much by BL standards.

The come-back blue guy was incredible! How the heck did he jump up on that platform????!!!

There is something "a bit off" with Jorelle, and I never understood why her and Carla were friends since they seem so opposite.

My heart goes out to Carla, I wish her long term success, and I am happy Jorelle is out of her life.

I think people were so hard on Jorelle, because of her total refusal to accept any responisbility for her actions. "I reached new heights...."
please...

No, I agree with how they treated her. She really was being selfish, and had no desire to give 100%. What made me mad, was Carla WANTED to stay, back when they had to decide who to send home. Joelle strong armed her into going home and she went, knowing her fate was in Joelle's hands. Carla deserved to be in that house. She is doing great at home though!!!

ITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad Jillian called her on that too!!!

I think the teams all voted off silver 1) they have given Joelle too many second chances and 2) they probably didn't want all the drama in the house. Joelle was a PITA but once Carla came back there was TOO MUCH YELLING :crazy2: I woudln't want to listen to the 2 of them screaming at each other all of the time.

That being said, I think brown in outta here next week...

I wonder if they all saw Carla as a threat, and the brown team as not so much. Yes I am sure that they were mad at Joelle, but they could have kept her. Lets face is, the brown team just doesn't pull the big numbers and the son really needs to learn healthy habbits.

Next week should be good. Am I the only one who can't remember there is a purple team? :confused3

I think part of why they kept the Brown team is that the Dad helps to encourage the other people, he's friendlier than Joelle and they saw him putting forth an effort in the workouts. Whereas Joelle didn't seem to have made any friends....including Carla when she came back.

Mhhmm that purple team daughter is quite the talker when they have the camera only on her. They don't seem to stand out, sort of like the tortoise and the hare...they just keep plodding along.

I know if I were made to carry a big, sweaty man back and forth across the gym floor, I'd be royally ticked at someone who didn't put in full effort! :rotfl2:

I'm glad, too, that Carla and Joelle aren't friends any more. Carla probably did most of the work in that relationship and she doesn't need it.

I also thought it was interesting that yellow team told Joelle that the scale doesn't lie when she was the one who only lost two pounds at home and claimed she had been working out and gained muscle.

I thought the same thing. The Yellow girl who just came back to the ranch sure had a lot of smack talk for someone who only lost 2lbs herself. Wasnt she up at the scale giving lame excuses as well for only losing 2lbs??
Joelle obviously has some issues, but I did feel bad for her last night. No one even said goodbye to her.

I loved the "update" meeting between the two cast-offs... HILARIOUS. And the voting off... ohhh man, I loved how they all wrote it HUGE and little.

and arrows. The last one to vote had "We will miss you" and an arrow to Carla.

It doesn't seem like either girl lost a lot at home.

I felt sorry for Joelle, because it was obvious, moreso than other episodes, that she has some serious issues and overeating is the least of them.

I didn't feel bad for Carla, she made the decision to let Joelle stay in the beginning and continued to berate her.

I was glad to see them gone.

I was actually thinking that they would like Carla enough to keep her around even if it meant the Joelle would tag along. Brown Team has had every opportunity and still does nothing with it. Carla never really even had a chance. Then again, Brown Team annoys me so maybe I was just projecting.

I think I was the only person on the planet who still felt sorry for Joelle. She just seemed so ... lost. She could not open herself up to the hurt and disappointment and was so closed. It made me really sad.

You weren't the only one on either count.

Why didn't they show the brown team working out at all??

I certainly agree about what is being said about Joelle. Furthermore, when all is said and done and the camera lights have turned off, she will gain back any weight she manages to lose for the final show.

However, I am not happy with Carla either. When they showed her and Joelle meeting for the first time in several months what does Carla do? Starts harping again about how Joelle screwed up. I do not blame Joelle for getting up and leaving. Reconciliation is impossible if one person keeps bring up past grievances.

I thought the brown team had done well except for the last two weigh-ins. The dad had been out-losing the son weight wise. Son said tonight that his dad's knees were bothering him and he hadn't been able to keep up the pace with the others.
I also thought it was interesting that yellow team told Joelle that the scale doesn't lie when she was the one who only lost two pounds at home and claimed she had been working out and gained muscle.

But she had been called on the carpet for it (twice...at the initial weigh in and then at the first work out at the gym) and her numbers did show it for the week. Maybe she just needed somebody else to get called on it. :upsidedow

My problem last night was Bob....he constantly has said he hates game playing but he has been the game player extraordinaire the last 2 episodes espescially. It would not surprise me if he told th blue to drink water. :guilty:

Jillian has always (since I've been watching) been about getting to the real reason behind the weight problems (example last night with the yellow team) and Bob has been more about the instant gratification.

it was a low product placement night...and I was thrilled. :thumbsup2

We will have to agree to disagree then. I was disgusted beyond words.

I noticed that right away too.

Granted Joelle didn't want to be there but the sudden lovefest for Carla was a bit too much.
