First up is perhaps the solution to one of the biggest guest complaints with FastPass+.

If everything goes to plan, starting sometime around early April 2016, you will be able to make those additional FastPass+ reservations directly from My Disney Experience on your phone. This new functionality will eliminate the need to go to kiosks to make additional FastPass+ reservations after your initial three have been used.

Also set to debut soon is the widespread rollout of StoryMaker, which is the interactive component of MyMagic+ that we heard so much about in the early days of the project. StoryMaker was one of the features that did not make the initial rollout of MyMagic+ due to the complexities with other areas of the system that were deemed to be of higher importance. A concentration of efforts on FastPass+ and MagicBand reliability, along with rising costs put StoryMaker on the back-burner, until now.

Already testing in some areas, StoryMaker allows attractions to interact with guests, using information from the MyMagic+ profile associated with the guest. For example, the "it's a small world" goodbye sequence may know exactly where you are from, or a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse might use your name.

Disney has not yet announced the availability of the new features, so as always, treat as speculation at this time."

I actually like MM+ (unlike many people I know) but both of these features will be substantial improvements if they arrive.

I don't mind it. These will improve the system and I can't wait for them to come.

I hope they stick to "early April" for the rollout of the FP+ feature. We'll be there at the end of April and I'd love to be able to make our additional FP+ selection(s) without having to stop at a kiosk!

Both would be excellent enhancements. Overall I've been happy with the ease and features of MM+ already. I don't necessarily love booking rides so far in advance, but I'm used to it now.

Why does StoryMaker have it's own name (that is similar to Memory Maker)? I think it may be a feature that will cost an additional charge if you want to opt-in/activate it for yourself and your party.

I don't know if it will cost more but it probably will have an opt I type deal as some may not want their name known or whatever.

I'm all in on being able to make extra FP+'s from my phone, but put me in the "That's uncomfortable" category for StoryMaker.

My fanny pack will definitely be of the RFID blocking variety.

I am excited to see this. However, honestly, I don't know if the system can really handle this. It's so overwhelmed right now with just people looking at MDE and trying to change their pre-picked and kiosk-picked FP+. I hope they have the system beefed up enough to handle it, especially before my July trip. I will miss this month, which I am actually really happy about.

Storymaker was supposed to be there from the start of the whole MyMagic+ system but because they had so many other problems they stopped it. I would assume they have to feel comfortable with it now in order to do this.

StoryMaker is the bit I'm most interested in. Booking additional passes from your phone is nice, but I didn't actually need additional passes last visit so not something I'll use a lot. Adding interactivity to the queues and rides is big though.

Last week when I was on haunted mansion with my daughter, I mentioned that I wished these limited edition ride themed bands had something unique that only happened when someone with that band was going past. which that would take more refurb and effort, this story thing makes it interesting..

now I have to try everyhting again We need a sticky thread with a list of what people are finding.

This is great news! I usually hit one park in the morning and use my three fastpasses, go back to to hotel in the afternoon, then hit another park in the evening. Now I will be able to make a fastpass for the evening park prior to arrival and a lot earlier in the day.

THIS WILL BE SO GREAT! Especially because the FP+ locations aren't (in most cases) in the most convenient locations in some of the parks! I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed for this -- My tentative plan has things like "get an ice cream and go to the FP+ kiosk in Liberty Square" before the FoF parade (did I give away how much of a crazy planner I am lol)....much more convenient to just get the ice cream and find a spot in the shade for the parade while I make that next FP+ reservation on my phone lol...

Most things have been added already just not used like the screen in IASW.

I'm super excited by StoryMagic... this was one of my favorite features of MM+ when it was announced. There are so many great things you can do with this.

I do think people are overestimating the convenience of the FP+ from phones, however. If it's easier for you to add a 4 FP+, then it's easier for EVERYONE in the park to do so. I have a feeling this means there will be less desirable FP+ available. That's not a huge deal for me because we never felt the need to get a 4th FP+, but it's something to consider for people who really liked picking up 4th, 5th and even 6th passes.
