Does anyone else have this problem? My dd is 22 mo old, she weighs close to 30lbs, and is very tall. She is about 4 inches shorter then her 5yo brother, and weighs 6lbs less then him. She is outgrowing her 3t and going into a 4t. She skipped 2t all together, went straight from a 18mo to 3t?!?!? What is wrong with her? I know babies grow fast but this is just crazy! I know there is nothing really wrong with her, I just wanted to vent about all the clothes we have to buy her!;) And her shoes, dont get me started. Talk about want ing to tie bricks to her head to keep her from shooting up any more!Does anyone else have big babies? By the way, she weighed 8-1 at birth, 2 weeks early.

My son was like that. Now he's 12, and is 5'9". My DD 2 needs a 3T for height, but an 18 month for width. She's tall and skinny, God bless her. It's frustrating, eh?

My sons are this way, also. They were always about two sizes ahead of their age. My oldest is 9 and 5 foot 3 right now. I would suggest basketball? ;)

I took care of a baby who was built like a mack truck. At 10 months he weighed over 20 pounds. The only way he'd go to sleep was if I rocked and bounced him (while standing). Sometimes it took a half hour before he'd fall asleep. Talk about a full body work out. After caring for him for 6 months I had lost almost 50 pounds.

try having a kid who needs size 9 for height and a 4t for width! ds will be10 next month and has yet to crack 50 pounds. he honestly looks like he is emaciated but eats constantly (no med problems-he's just like i was as a kid). as a result he lives in sweat pants since i can open the waist line and pull the elastic tighter. i honestly believe i am the only person in the world who has to 'take in' underwear (if i get it to fit him waist/tush wise it ends up being a thong length wise:scared1: ).

I just had an 11lb baby on Thursday...
1st DS was 9 lbs 8.5 oz, at 5 he was 45lbs, 45 inches.

My son was born 10lbs, and weighed 30 pounds at his first b-day! He is now 12 and is 5'3'' and 130 pounds with little to no body fat! My dd on the other hand weighed much less at birth and through her toddler years but now has blossomed! Girls sizes are cut so slim, it can prove to be a challenge finding her clothes appropriate to her age in the size that she needs!

my friend has the exact same issue with her 10 y/o DS.

I know exactly what you're talking about! DD is 10 months old and weighs 24 lbs. She has been wearing 18 month clothing since 8 months old! I get tired of the "OMG, she's so huge! What are you feeding her?" comments. It actually makes me paranoid sometimes, making me think there is something wrong with her. She has been 100 percentile weight and height since she was 2 months old. She wasn't born that huge though- 7 lbs 13 oz at birth, born at 39 weeks. She is very healthy though- she's never gotten sick or had an ear infection, etc.

Good grief, that is not a big baby, LOL! My DD was 31 lbs at 9 months. She went into 2T around 5-6 months and at a year she wears some 2T but mostly 3T. There is nothing wrong. They all grow at their own pace! My DD was average-sized at birth. My DH is tall-ish (but not a giant), and I'm petite, so go figure:confused3

My son was like that as a baby. I had to switch him out of his infant car seat at 9 months cuz he was close to being to big for it. I would buy a pack of diapers and have to throw the last of them away cuz I couldn't even close them anymore. He was in 2t by the time he was 1.

It's funny to think back though, because he has growth hormone issues now. He wore size 3t from 2 years old until 5. If he wouldn't have had that huge growth at first, he would have been REALLLY far behind.

My DS was 10lbs 3oz at birth an now weigs 50lbs at 22months. He is the same size as my 4 1/2 yr old!!

My nephew is almost 20 months old and he's the average size of a 3 year old. He's completely off the charts. In fact, he's almost as tall as his 5 year old sister (and she's tall for her age too).

DD12 was 8lb9oz never wore the little things. Now she is 5'7" a size 11 shoe she is a big girl, not fat but big very muscular. Doctors said she could be well over 6'. She is a swimmer, VB and BB field events in track. then DD8 wears a size 8 she is the little rock, muscular. DS6 is the tall skinny one same size as DD8, he is all legs. DD4 is the one that is average can find the right sizes. Now DS2 was born 6lb7oz. He looked like a little old man, skinny little thing now he is our tank. 31lb size 3t-4t big ole fat feet. Funny thing is DH and I are average. Im 5'6" DH 5'9". Height and size must come from somewhere. DH dad and brother at 6' and built like trucks.
Im afaid of grocery bills when boys are in middle school they are eating us out of house and home.:scared:

Wow!!! I have the oppposite problem... I have an almost four year old who weighs 28 lbs....last week she wore an 18-24 month skirt to preschool!!!!

Oh god..all these stories only reinforce the nightmare I have where DS is in 3rd/4th grade and taller than me.:rotfl2:

He JUST started wearing 24 mos/2T pants (mostly because of length) around Christmas and even then, I have to belt some of them becuase they fall off his waist. My MIL says it's because he is butt-less. He has a proto-butt.:rotfl2: :rotfl:

DS is getting so tall. I am only 5 ft 5 (on a good day) and already his head is above my waist. :scared1: :teeth:

take heart-my best friend is about 5'8''-taller than me but not terribly tall for a woman. her hubby is about 6'. their boys were both around 8 pounders but once they started growing WHOA BOY!! by the time both hit 2nd grade they were close to the same height as most of their teachers-and by the time they hit middle school and were attending a public school that required uniforms she had to get special permission from the district to get them items that 'closely resembled' the designated wear. reason why-they were well into the men's sizes (hit the 'big and tall' stores well before high school). she loves her 'men'-but jokes she never had 'babies'-that she would give birth, they'de go to sleep that night and wake up the next morning 'full blown toddlers':rotfl:

DD#1 was almost 9lbs at birth and should be 5'10", according to dr's.
DD#2 was almost 8llbs at birth and should be 5'9".

DD#1 (3.5) is at a size 6, and DD#2 is following in her footsteps.

I'm just jealous b/c I'm 5'5" and my kids are supposed to be so much taller than me.;)
