We are thinking about going here on our upcoming trip. We have never been, is the food pretty good? I know everyone's tastes are different, but thought I'd ask.

waiting to hear some comments on this too. I just made ressies for a early May trip.

We went last month for the first time ever as we were reluctant to try it with our very picky kids. Since we went sans kids, we thought we'd give it a try. It was very good. I have no idea why I thought it was a lot of fried foods, but nearly nothing was fried. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go again. Definitely try the pretzel breadsticks (I wish I had a purse to fill with those they were soooo good) and the bavarian cheesecake was the best dessert I had all week!

We went there last summer and all of us loved it. The food was better than I'd even expected, and you get a show!

We have been two times. The first time about 10 years ago we loved it! You can't beat the fun of the music and the food was good and since it is a buffet you get lots of it. But this last trip about a year ago, we were not impressed. It is important to know that the way they seat you means that depending on the size of your party you may be sitting with other families. It is beer hall style. Which can be fantastic most of the time but occasionally you are sitting next to a grouch.

The food was ok, nothing special. They have the usual german favorites. Our last visit though the buffet was pretty untidy with food everywhere. The quality of the food was fairly good but it seemed that they did not have as many choices as before. It was still fun with the music and the atmosphere in the beer hall.

Biergarten is our favorite Epcot place to eat. The food is very authentic and the desserts are wonderful. They also have entertainment as well.

We went for the first time last week and LOVED it!
There were so many choices with a great variety. The pretzel rolls were great as was the sauerkraut and spaetzle and different salads. I don't eat meat but my husband enjoyed the sausage. The desserts were amazing. I loved the bavarian cheesecake, blueberry bars and the chocolate mousse cake.
It is my second favorite buffet behind Boma.

Oh yeah and nothing beats sitting there belting out "Edelweiss" with the band and about 200 other diners. So much fun! :goodvibes

I think it's pretty good. Love the salads, sausages and pretzel bread (and beer). I used to really like the chicken schnitzel but it was too dry and chewy in December.

We ADORE Biergarten. Lots of different dishes to try (very meat-heavy, so if you don't like meat much, I would recommend choosing another restaurant). We especially love the potato-leek soup, spaetzle (mini dumplings), weinerschnitzel and all the wursts and sauerkraut. The apple strudel is unbelievable!
Everything tastes homemade and authentic. This is VERY hearty food, so go hungry, and make sure you get a nice beer to go with it. Band is great, and the scenery makes you feel like you're in a little German village. Enjoy

How do your kids like the food? We have a picky eater, who does like Boma though.

i am not an adventurous eater at all. and i love biergarten. it is one of my family's favorite places to eat. my kids love it (one is picky, one is not).

and the pretzel bread. YUM!

Make sure you get an ADR during the show. It is not constant music, so if that's important make sure you get an ADR during that time. You also will be seated with other people, so if you don't like that, don't eat there. I thought the food was average, mostly lukewarm and bland. Next time we're going to try a different restaurant.

My parents love it! It is a MUST DO for our upcoming trip (for them).

Me, not so much. I think it is b/c I am a vegetarian though! :) The pretzel breadsticks are so yummy though!!!

Atmosphere is great!

What times are the shows? Our ADR is for 6:30 p.m.

Biergarten has been sort of a family tradition. We have been to Disney 6 times over the past 16 years and every time we have gone there for dinner. The food is authentic German with other selections also, but the fun is in the atmosphere and dinner show. It is fun for the whole family.

My whole family LOVES that restaurant! So much fun and the food was great! Even my extremely picky son was happy eating there. There are different chicken options on the buffet (DS loved the chicken schnitzel) so I would think picky kids could find enough to eat. The potato leek soup was my favorite and the desserts were wonderful! The band was very entertaining, too.

so i ate here a while back..for lunch in 2007 and it was better than i thought. im not adventurous i stick to basics but i did enjoy this meal and the show too!!
