I have a strange question for my husband.
Biergarten is his favorite and we go every trip. There are usually 3 sausage options, but on our last visit there were only 2 and his favorite was not there.
Would anyone who has recently been, be able to remember the sausage offerings? I'm not sure if they changed the selections or if it was just not offered that night.
I know it's a small issue, but he really liked that sausage and he was so disappointed lol! It's his only request each trip.
TIA

I think it may vary a little daily. I know lunch is slightly different than dinner.

Their menu lists several sausages:
Sausage Platter with Grilled Bratwurst, Mini Regensburger and Double-smoked Pork on Sauerkraut
Munich's famous white veal Sausages with Sweet Mustard and Pretzel Rolls
Mini Frankfurters Sausages

The weisswurst aka white veal sausage is my favorite German sausage and I wish they served it at Sommerfest!

I asked the hubs is this was the one and he said it was more pink. He's not being helpful!

Pink sounds like a pork sausage...ask him if it was it has a coarse texture like bratwurst or a fine texture like a frankfurter.

Lol!! He said it was a smooth texture, snappy casing, smallest one. Haha!! He’s having trouble describing it!

Heyy don't knock him...the man in my life would say "it's tasty" as a complete description;).

I think it's been narrowed down to 2 possibilities based on the menu offerings listed above:

Mini Regensburger sausage- which is also known as knock or knackwurst. Another "snappy" casing; the texture is smoother than bratwurst but often a bit more coarse than a German Frankfurter. Can be all pork but is readily found as a pork beef mixture as well. It's smoked and darker in color than a frankfurter but lighter than bratwurst.

or

Mini Frankfurters..now German Frankfurters differ from most American style versions in seasoning, texture, interior color and the casing definitely has a snap. The casing is darker than the meat within which is generally a pale pink.

Google the different names, show him the pics, and then you can be a good person, and order them online from Schaller + Weber; might even be at your local supermarket.

HTH!

Thank you so much!
I read this to him and he thinks it's the Mini Regensburger. Have you seen it there recently? The last time we went was last summer.
He wants to pop in and see if they have if the day before our ADR. He's so funny!
