Someone told me your little girl has to be 3! Mine will only be 2.5 please tell me there is a way around that??? I really want her to be able to do it

As far as I know, you have to be three. You could call to see if there are exceptions, but if they have an age minimum, I would think they would enforce it, but then look at FP time enforcement :)

I think it is 3. You could always call ahead to find out for sure so you're prepared one way or another before your trip!

they don't exactly check birth certificates you know. If you know your DD will behave during the makeover then just say she's 3.

But remember, they may ask her directly.

I wouldn't be too afraid of that though. My 3 year old son still says he's 2 when asked. well over a month after turning 3. Don't feel you have to tell your child to lie.

One of our family friends did it with their 4.5 and 2.5 year old girls, with no problems.

Thank you guys! I think I'm gonna just go ahead and make an appointment! She is very tall for her age so I think she will be fine! Wish us luck it will be her first time! :)

A three year old will need a park ticket, so be prepared to show that if asked.

We did it with DD just before she was 3 and I had called ahead and was told that they say three bc most kids under that age can't sit still and/or handle the hair work. I went ahead and booked it for my DD, and she had no problems. We've done it multiple times and never asked for age and/or park tickets.

we did BBB in may and no one asked us or DD anything to verify age. She was 3 and had a ticket but it wasn't even a question. The only time her age came up was when I made the appointment over the phone a month before our trip.

As long as you are 2 when you start your vacation, you are 2 in Disney's eyes for your whole trip. So if you turn 3 during your visit, you qualify for BBB but also don't have a park ticket. But that is a serious stretch. :) You won't be asked for a ticket.

There is a difference between a child that is 2.5 vs. almost 3. If you think your LO is able to sit through it, go for it.
We went with friends last year that have a very small DD, and were asked to see a park ticket. Just like anything else at DL, it depends on the CM.
No stretch necessary.

For people that have gone to BBB, how far in advance did you book? We are going in March and we have a 5 day pass and i was going to book on day 1 for our 3rd visit to BBB. Should i book earlier or should we be fine to go to BBB during the week?

You can book 60 days out. I would book BBB as soon as I knew when we wanted to go. I wouldn't risk walking in or then booking up got the week.

I booked 30 days ahead, we are going end of January and I didn't want to book the bbb until my daughter knew we were going (it was a surprise on christmas) I didn't have a problem getting the time I wanted, mind you its off season and I was asking for a thursday, so maybe not very high demand

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade but just so you know . . . the hairstyles they do at the BBB are VERY tight. They use a LOT of gel and they pull the hair up extremely tight. My DD went when she was 4. She is not at all sensitive about that type of thing, but she did not enjoy having it done (she didn't cry or anything, and she sat still, I could just tell that she wasn't enjoying it), and she wanted to take it out immediately after it was done, because it hurt her head. Also, they put these jewel stickers on the face and they can hurt coming off (there was crying involved with that one) so make sure you soak it in water or something first.

I know lots of little girls go to the BBB and love it, I just wanted to let you know that while they may look adorable, they might not like how it feels.

Yes, the tight hair is really something. My daughter did not mind the hairdo at BBB, but she went to Studio 365 for a makeover once, and they about pulled her hair out and it looked awful. I am not lying when I say they thought she was there on a Make A Wish trip the next morning, her hair was so tight, she looked bald.

Will they do the hair any other way? I've thought my girls would enjoy being fussed over/makeup etc but I just think the super tight hair looks so weird (no offense to those who like it- just not my style :) And they're not fans of having their hair tight like that either.

they had 3 different hair styles when we went in May. There was pop princess, Classic princess and another that I forget. I think only the classic princess was up in a bun. The other two involved color and extensions if I remember right. I'm not a huge fan of the tight bun hairdo either but I preferred that over the other two options.

This was our experience and our girls were 11. One girl lasted the day, but the other wanted it out after about 2 hours. I was really surprised she made it that long. All the styles at BBB start with the super tight ponytail/bun.

My nieces (5 and 7), however, loved every minute of it and they are super tender headed. To them, the pain was worth it!
