Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at disneyland!

BBB was a total disaster for our 5-year old. She was a real trooper the whole visit and we had fun taking the pictures. But after about 3-hours she burst into full out sobs because her head hurt so badly. We started walking to the bathroom to remove it, but she was so crying so loudly that I just scooped her up and ran. Trying to get the gel and everything out was not easy and caused more pain but I managed the best I could. Her hair looked funny afterwards, but she felt better shortly and we went off for more rides.

I am definitely an activist against BBB. I used to put my daughters hair up in a very neat bun, gel and all, for her ballet class. The teacher was always pleased and used her as an example of how to do it. I managed to do it without hurting her at all, ever. If I can do a good job and be gentle, so can they. But there are too many horror stories and, after ours, I can never be supportive of them.

Weird - my daughter loved it on both her 3rd and 4th birthdays. In fact - she would cry at the end of the night when we told her it was time to take it out and take a bath.

My DD has a lot of hair, and she did well with the hairstyle (Disney Diva). She did not complain once and wore the hairstly (and Cinderella get up) all day. I was worried that when it came time to take it all out and wash her hair that it would be a pain in the bootie. It ended up rinsing out really easy (with the exception of a little glitter).

"(with the exception of a little glitter)"
This might be the understatement of all time. I know it depends on who does your hair, but my daughter had a ton of glitter both times. Like a TON!!!

Really??? Of course it would depend on what FGMIT you get. DD's hair did not seem to be plastered with glitter like I have seen others that have been to BBB.
I was able to get most of it out with the first washing. There was not a TON remaining. On a normal day, DD can get glitter all over her depending on what she chooses to wear that day.

Not sure why one's person's BBB experience must be everyone's...

My girls and I went when it first opened, at that time they did adults as well as kids, I think they should still do adults as well as kids. But, we all 3 had so much fun, I mean it really is geared towards smaller kids but we all had a great time getting a makeover together. The stick on jewels didn't hurt any of us when they came off, we just used some warm water on a wash cloth and they came off without issue, in fact DD16's (she was 11 or so when we went) just came off on their own, that may have been because we were there in May so we did sweat a little but who knows. :) She and I took our hair down that night (and yes, we had glitter in our hair the rest of the week lol) but my youngest left hers in for 4 days.....yes, 4 days and she got mad at me when I told her she had to take it down and wash it. LOL She had the classic bun, it was cute but it was time to wash her hair. None of us had our hair so tight that we were uncomfortable but then again all of us were able to tell our FGiT if it was bothering us. Oh and if there is pool time planned either do BBB after or make sure you have a shower cap because even with a shower cap their hair will get wet and that will mess the style up. :)

My DD has visited BBB 4 times, she has a tender head if I'm touching her but anybody else she's a trooper, she keeps that bun in up to 3 day! Showers/bathes with a shower cap - she even swam in a cap at WDW!
