Plz beware a person tried to trick me:




Not only did she try to trick my inferno from me she tried to trick everyone in the room!! But i told everyone and nothing was lost.

oh my gosh. that is the same girl that tried to trick me out if my inferno offer. obviously she didn't have mush experience bacause this is how it went:

she asked to trade
i accepted
she said she wanted a wanted poster and teleportation and that she had inferno
i said show me
she said she didn't want me to steal her inferno so she didn't show me(now at this point i knew this was a scam, but i wanted to see how far she would go)
i got the stuff and put them in the trade box
then i said to show the inferno and lets do the trade
she said that i would steal it
i said that there was no possible way i could steal her inferno because my stuff was already in the trade box
she said to make the trade so she has the stuff and would make sure i couldn't steal her inferno
at that point, i knew she wouldn't stop. so i exited the trade and booted her and warned the ppl in the room.

the sad part of this is that this happened a month ago and she is still at it.

She must of thought i was new bc she said she was a vmk staff member and i said ok where are your green flips plz show me she said i traded them to my best friend and i said but vmk staff members have them on all the time and have VMK_ in front of their name!! so i exited the trade and warned the ppl in the room she asked to be my friend so i did and followed her sneaking in (i love the steamboat room when you go in you do not see yourself) she said i giving free stuff for a shot of inferno so i warned all the ppl in that room and they all reported her! then i deleted her off of my friends list. The End

You really need to report that and that she claimed to be staff. that will be the end for her.

If she said she was staff you should have reported her right then that is a automatic 10 year ban....


Maybe you will not have to worry about her scamming people for long sounds like she is heaqded toward a permanent ban if she has not been banned already.

Another scammer last night tried to trick fireworks from me!! i cannot believe it tmaxpuppy came in the room afterwards i do not know if he saw her but she said she could not add anything so if i accepted andshe accepted we could trade again and she would trade telepeortation . She also said she was staff so i reported her!! does no one lie me or do i look like i am new to the whole vmk thing i need to change my out fit

this one girl one time when i was in a trade room trading my cowboy outfit, this girl walked up to me. when we were trading she said trade me so i can try it on, i said NO WAY then she said that she would report me if i didnt, so and there was staff in the room overhearing everything and the girl got banned permanently

Yes, my DD got a crown from a very nice lady. She has had offers from people to "try it on". DD may be 10, but she dosen't fall for it. I imagine there are some people who just want to be nice and make friends who do fall for it. Such a shame.

scamming or trying to scam our members seems to be getting out of hand please know that we are aware and are watching.

If you are scammed or someone tries to scam you please report
by using the report post button in VMK.

You can also send us, LoriR or myself, a PM while there is nothing we can do it just makes us aware.


DO NOT POST openly in the forums about another DIS member that is against DIS Board Guidelines and will have to be removed.

ok someone thought i was trading my snowman magic this was yesterday and i said sure we traded and she said hand it over and she didn't even have anything out i said u think i am trading this for nothing she said give it to me now because i am staff like mal said i reported her because she did not have Host or VMK in front of her name i told her i reported her she said why?? she then started crying and i said becauseu are a fake a scam artist a con a cheat a prankter a fony so on and so on
she then left and i never seen her again

and the world was happily ever after
oh and other people told her to stop in my trade room whitch was very busy at the time

There is some guy out there trying to tell people that you can combine all your magic pins into one pin and get inferno. And that he has the code to do it.

Don't fall for it. You CAN NOT combine different pins.

When i got a herbie suit i was soooooo happy about it and could not get over it and i told all my friends i was new at the time and then i opened a trade room and someone asked me if they could try on my herbie suit i said hmm let me think so i booted her i did not want a scammer in my room i decided to take my herbie suit off thinking it would get people to aks and trade with me well this person comes up to me and asks me to trade i say sure and he said i will trade five infernos and green flips for the herbie suit i said no because that is bad for you he said i will trade just the flips then i said ok fine with me and i put the suit in the window i said put in the flips he said they are in and you can not see them because your computer i messed up i reported him then booted him

Five infernos and green flips for a Herbie suit should have warned you that
this was not a real trade.

Remember that if the offer seems WAY TOO GOOD to be true, it is
a scam.
