Better breakfast Garden Grill or Cape May?

We very, very much prefer CM over GG. We usually eat the breakfast buffet at CM on our departure day, but stayed at the Swan for our last trip this past January so decided to try GG. The service at GG was very good, but for us the food choices seemed very limited and not all that tasty. I will note that we ate on a weekday so there were no characters, and the restaurant was almost empty. The food on the buffet was not very warm, bacon was not crispy, grits were lumpy, fruit didn't seem very fresh, etc. The baked goods were beautiful, but their taste was unimpressive. We were very disappointed and decided that next time we are going back to Cape May. For us the wider assortment of food, freshness of food and higher quality would make CM our choice for the future.

I believe the original question was in regards to Garden Grill in Epcot not Garden Grove in the Swan. Those two sometimes get confused in conversation here.

Thank you for clarifying that. I was confused by that.

I prefer the family style at GG because I don't have to worry about missing a character pic with the kids while I run back and forth to the buffet getting them plates. Agree the selection is limited but what is there is good, especially the giant cinnamon bun. Anyone going carb free might have a hard time there though, my DH only ate the eggs, a little fruit and bacon. I wish they had like an egg white with veggies scramble or something, especially since there is Garden right there in the title.

I know it’s different characters. Which is a better option a buffet with more choices at Cape May
Or a family style meal like Garden Grill? I guess less spread of germs at a family style vs a buffet but over all way less food options.

I am just like you, I am starting to steer away from the buffets bc I think of people coughing and sneezing on the food, kids running up without parents and putting something on their dish, touching it and putting it back, and bringing up used dishes and what not. We did both last year, we love cape may lol.....its our favorite breakfast. I also had a nice drink there too with boba balls haha. Garden grille was just meh, probably won't do it again. I have ADRs for cape may again not sure if we should cancel bc like I said I am starting to become more aware of people's unsanitary habits.
