Beth's WW Journey. (Comments Welcome)

Man, time flies....:rolleyes1 Sorry I haven't posted. But I do think of you often. :goodvibes

Sorry about your mom. I hope she's feeling better by now. How wonderful that you could help them out so much.

Great job on your last w/i. :woohoo: You're really doing awesome. Even the night you wanted comfort and turned to food...you still fit that into your weekly points. That is dedication, my friend. :thumbsup2

Keep up the great work, and setting a bed time is an awesome idea. I should follow your lead.

You'll get right back in the swing of things with your exercise Beth! I know I can't get up at 4:30 for a Krispy Kreme, let alone to work out! Hopefully tonight will work out to work out! Hope your mom is doing better, that really adds a lot of stress to your already stressful, hectic life. Hang in there and do the best you can!

Hi Beth!

So glad you are beginning to feel better. I'm amazed at how early you get going to fit exercise into your schedule. That takes so much commitment :). Awesome job!!!!

 I'm really proud of you. I know you're super busy but let us know how you're doing when you get a chance!

Hi all,

Well, my school function free week went out hte window. Tonight we have dance, and then we head directly to an ice cream social at school. TOmorrow is homecoming. DD can march in the parade, if she can come up with a homemade superhero costume. I am putting her in one of her dance costumes with a cape? She can be Vegas Show Girl! ?! Do you think school would have an issue with that? :lmao: WHo knows. I will figure something out tonight or tomorrow.

I was right on track with my eating yesterday, and I did make it to the gym. I got in a zone on the elliptical. I set a decent pace and just zoned with the music. I ended up glancing down at the 85 minute point. Who knew that you could go longer than the max 60 minutes without resetting the machine? I ended up burning about 1300 calories.:woohoo: I also threw together a veggie dish that my daughter asked for seconds. I sauteed 2 cloves of garlic. 1/2 onion, and some carrot shreds. I then added a can of tomatoes and 3 zucchinins thinly sliced. Cover/stam until zuchinni is tender. Add basil, oregano, parm cheese. Yummy and easy.

Ok, pt is here. I'm off.
Beth

Wow, Beth! That veggie dish sounds delicious!!!! So glad DD loved it!
Congrats on the 85 minutes on the elliptical. Ours automatically power down after 60 minutes. Highly annoying if you are "in the zone". ;)
Keep up the great work!

Hi Beth!!! Great job on the food intake!!! You are a busy woman!!!

85 min on the elliptical!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! That is AMAZING! :woohoo: I am in awe!!! I don't think I could ever do that!!! I am so proud of you!!!

Keep up the good work!!!!
Stacie

Hi all,

I hate coming to work, and not having a patient right away. I would much rather have stayed home until we were due to actually work. Oh well, at least I am getting paid to make journal rounds. :surfweb: Enough complaining.

Yesterday rocked on food and water, but I ended up not even going for my walk. I took DD to dance and the blasted ice cream social. She ended up on the playground, and a older brother of one of her friends pushed her off the slide. He was trying to get by her, but she ended up falling about 12 feet. A trip to the ER later, she has 7 stitches on the back of her head and 4 in her elbow. She is fine, just bruised up. However, I didn't get her to bed until after 10PM. That means I made it to bed around 11PM. So much for my early bedtime and walk. It is MUCH more important that I am there for my DD. First my mom falls, now Kate. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop...

Okay, enough drama. My plans for today.......
I work until 4PM today. I then need to run to the costume shop to get a black cape for DD. She will be Batgirl. Black tights, long sleeve leotard with a white B, black dance skirt, cape, and jazz shoes. Done. Make her dinner, DH will take her to the parade. I am hitting the gym while they are at the parade. We aren't going to the football game as planned. DHs brother is coming home from NYC for a wedding, and he wants to see the munchkin. She is so excited to see Uncle Dan. I hope to make it an early night because I have WW at 8AM.

I will be popping in at some point this weekend to tell everyone about WI.

Hope everyone has a good weekend,
Beth

HI Beth! Sorry to hear about DD! Seems you had an exciting night!!! Glad to hear she is ok!!!

Keep up the good work! Hope you have a great weekend!!!
Stacie

Oh, my goodness, Beth. How in the world are you sounding so calm and together? Sending you a  and some pixiedust: for DD. Here's hoping you all have a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend. :goodvibes

awww, poor DD. Did you SEE her fall? That would just be horrible. I'm glad it wasn't too bad.

85 mins on the eliptical? :worship: I can't even imagine.

Hi Beth!

Wow...what a hectic few days for you. i just hope that everyone is ok. It's nice to see you in good spirits about everything. Best wishes to your mom and DD for speedy recoveries...sounds like both could have ended up worse.

I agree with everyone else, 85 minutes ?!?!?!? Holy smokes!! Way to go!!

Hope your weekend is a good one :goodvibes:

Hi Beth, I am so sorry about Kate, that must have been scary! Seven stitches, ouch! I hope she is on the mend, you have had an eventful couple of weeks!

You are doing great in spite of your stresses, just keep that up and good for you! Tell Kate her Mom's friends on WISH wish her head a speedy recovery!:flower3:

Hope you have a nice, uneventful, relaxing weekend!

Hi guys,

Thanks for dropping by. I am doing really well. Kate is fine, I'll take out the stitches on Wednesday. She has shown her stitches to all her friends. She is the coolest one in class right now. Yes, I saw her fall, and I was terrified. As a ICU nurse, I have learned to deal with things AFTER the crisis is over. I fell apart once we were home and she was in bed. My mom is on the mend.

I weighed in today. I am down another 2 pounds. Drum roll please......Total weight loss is 40.6 pounds.:cool1: That puts ma at about the 1/2 way point of my weight loss.

After WW, I went to the gym. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical at my normal pace. Then I decided to crank it up. I wanted to see what I was capable of. I kicked some butt. I ended up doing a total of 3.8 miles and 1042 calories in the hour. I don't plan on doing that again anytime soon, but it was good to try going full out. I cooled down on the treaddie for 20 minutes then spent a LONG time stretching.

Tonight we are meeting friends at Mitchell's Fish Market. Yummy! I have plenty of points available to me today, so I may splurge on a crab cake appetizer.

I need to head to Costco and Target. I will make the rounds in a bit.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Beth...

Sorry to hear about the scare with your little girl! Poor thing has stitches :(. Hope she's feeling ok today!!! And your mom too!

Great job with your workouts. Seems like you're really staying OP!! :goodvibes

Here's hoping you're having a nice weekend! :sunny:

Hi Beth
so glad DD & your mom are ok
:dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes
congrats on the awesome weight loss :goodvibes
Not surprising with all the fantastic exercise your doing!!:worship:
Hope you've had a great weekend :)

Hi All,

I never made it here yesterday. Sorry.

Saturday evening: Dinner was awesome. I had 1/2 the crab cake appetizer and a salmon dish that was to die for. I came in under points!

Sunday: My food was all over the place. I ended up using 10 flex points.:confused3 Oh well, that is what they are there for. I took DD to the gym. I did an easy 1/2 hour on the elliptical, weight circuits, and 100 crunches on the stability ball. Then I took DD swimming for an hour. We were supposed to go to my inlas for dinner, but I was getting a migraine, so I bailed. It was full blown by 8Pm, so I was in bed. It passed about 11Pm.

Today: I am feeling ok. Basically, I feel hung over from the migraine. I also know that I need to keep my stomach a bit full to prevent nausea today. That is worrying me. I don't want to overdo it. My knees (and abs;) ) are a bit sore today, so I am just doing the tree mile walk with puppy tonight. I will do lots of strething as well. DD also has dance class tonight. Then an early bedtime is in order. Thank God, I don't work tomorrow.

It is October 1st, so I am looking at goals. I want to track my exercise a bit more. I should see exactly how much I am doing. I've also decided to get the MAP test done at the gym. I ordered a garmin this AM as well. DH told me I could as an early anniversary present. It gets him off the hook trying to come up with an idea. I have decided that I want to drop 9.6 pounds by Thanksgiving. Huh!?! That will put me at a 50 pound loss going into the holidays. That is 9.6 pounds in 54 days. That is asking alot, but I think it is doable. My goal for the holidays is to maintain my weight loss and not lose my momentum. I want to make exercise a priority. Even if that requires asking DH for help.:scared1:  He needs to take DD to dance at least once a week and pitch in around the house a bit more.:lmao: :thumbsup2 Now, all I have to do is tell him how my plan will affect him.;)

Okay, we finally have a patient. I'm off. Have a great Monday everyone.

Take care,
Beth

 Beth,

I'm so sorry to hear about the migraine, sweetie. :( I hope you are feeling much better as the day goes on.:goodvibes

Your goals for the next few months look good, Beth and completely do-able. :thumbsup2 You have been doing such a great job that I know you can meet those goals be Thanksgiving.:thumbsup2

I hope you have a great Monday.

GOOD JOB BETH!!!! :woohoo:

Hi Beth!

Good job with everything!! Looks like 9 pounds is a realistic goal for you...I wish you the best of luck in getting there :)

Also, have you ever checked out mapmyrun.com? You can keep track of all workouts there (walks, elliptical, runs, weights, etc)...might be what you need to help keep up with your exercise :)

Hope you have a good day!

Hi Beth
I think 9.6 lb's is doable, if anyone can do it you can :)
Glad the migrane has gone!
have a great week
