Beth's WW Journey. (Comments Welcome)

Hi Guys,

Yesterday just turned crazy busy, so I never even got to my journal. I had my second session with my trainer. We worked on upper body and stability. It was a good workout, and I am more than a bit sore today.:thumbsup2 If people want details about whathe had me do, I can post them. I really need to work on the stability because I am weaker on the side I had surgery on.

Plan for the day......
1.) Head to the gym for cardio after getting Kate on the bus. Done-I wasn't able to get into a comfortable rhythm. I struggled, but did 60 minutes on EE. 40 going forward. 20 in reverse. TONS of stretching after.
2.) More laundry. -Last load is in the washer.
3.) Pick up the house. Well, the living room is picked up. The rest will have to be this afternoon.
4.) Lunch with my Mom. see #3.;) She'll be here in 5 minutes
5.) Kate has an orthodontic evaluation at 230.
6.) Trip to the library. Done.
7.) Make dinner. Any suggestions? Settled on grilled garlic chicken with the zucchini mixture and salads.
8.) Walk the dog. 2 miles.
9.) Bubble bath and early bedtime.
10.) Hit journals in there somewhere. done, well, I'll probably be back later too. ;)

Ok, I am off.

Take care,
Beth

 Beth,

Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you. I'd say go out to eat for dinner.:thumbsup2

Great job getting that workout in yesterday! Keep up the good work!:cheer2:

Hope you have a great Wednesday!

Hi Beth,
First I wanted to say "Thank You"for your encouraging words in my journal but you are another tough act to follow. 40 lbs.and counting??? Wow I thought 14 was doing well, how long has it taken you? Also how do you do the elliptical for 85 mins.? If I do it more than 45 mins my feet are totally asleep and all pins and needles.I am serious, it is quite a problem. It drives me crazy that I have to stop sometimes.Keep up the good work and keep me posted.
Linda

:lmao: :rotfl2: Linda. Today was the first day that ever happened to me. When I got off the machine, my right foot was asleep.

Beth, had to come by and check out your journal! Thank you for taking the time to comment on my newbie journal.. it means alot. :)
Congrats on the weight loss -- that is awesome!

And you can count me in on the 7yr old girl mom club, as my dd will be 7 this january 2008. (She is also a Cait -- short for Caitlin).

Hey girl! I get exhausted just reading your journal. :faint:

Seriously, slow down!!

Keep on rockin' it. You're such an inspiration! :thumbsup2 (and I can't thank you enough for your support)

Beth congratulations on your weight loss both the two pounds and the forty! That is just awesome, I am so proud (and envious too) of you! YOu have so much going on and look how well you have done. GREAT JOB!!!

I agree with Tracey Cooper, if anybody can lose that weight by Thanksgiving, its you! Keep up your hard work and again, well done!

Thanks guys,

I never would have seen the results I have had without the support I have found here. You guys are the absolute best. I thank God every day that I found you all.

Today is rather low key. Yeah!!!

Work is busy today. We have 8 patients. After work, I'll pop some potatoes in the oven for dinner and head to dance class. Dinner will be baked potatoes topped with leftover turkey chili, salad, and ww bread I made last night. I'll walk the dog and hit journals. I may even catch a couple of minutes of tv. Shocking, I know.

I peeked at the scale. I am up a pound. I am trying to not freak out about it. Today is a day of rest for me. Just a light walk. My body needs to rest is my mantra today. The scale will say what it says on Saturday.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Beth,

Wow...you have been doing so great with your exercise and eating :thumbsup2 !!! You have to be feeling so good about all that you've accomplished! All that time on the Elliptical is amazing. I'm only good for 30 minutes on that thing....my toes start to get numb too LOL....and honestly, I get bored. Putting in that kind of time on the machine is pretty awesome!

And rest days are really important. Good for you for taking it a little easy today and allowing your body to repair from all the exercise! Enjoy the day :sunny:.

Hey, Beth!! Awesome job on the scale movement and the mega amounts of exercise! :thumbsup2
I can't imagine where you find the energy! How is DD's head doing? I give you a lot of credit for keeping your cool!
Good luck on your Thanksgiving goal. I read another WISHer's comment that she can control how much she eats and the quality of it and how much she exercises, but she has no control over how fast her body drops the pounds. So, keep that in mind and remember you can have fluctuation even hour to hour.
You are such an inspiration, Beth. I give you so much credit for being so disciplined, and I truly appreciate your friendship and your support in my journal.
I hope you have an absolutely awesome day! :sunny:

Just a quick post in here.

I'm not really freaking out about the pound. It is just one of those things. I try to weigh myself only at meetings, and usually when I peek, it is up.

I am on the BLUE team for BL. We won this week, and I had the highest score on the team challenge. All that extra time working out added up.

Hi Beth
My feet go dead after 10-15 mins!!! I need new trainers!!!
You had a busy day yesterday!!!
Hope today is more laid back :)

Hi Beth,
I took your advice and I did fine until about 38 mins. in then it started but I kept on going and it did not last too long.Got 45 mins in today, love the elliptical!
Linda

Hi all,

Thank you so much for stopping by. It really brightens my day.

Today the energizer bunny goes slow-mo. Kate had another nose bleed last night, so I only ended up getting 4.5 hours of sleep. After kate gets on the bus, I am going back to bed for an hour. I am volunteering at school this afternoon. I will take kate to lifetime with me, and do my workout this afternoon. The plan is to do the routine that my trainer showed me plus 30 minutes on the treadmill. Now, all I have to do is stick to the plan.;) I will also walk the dog-dog.

I'll check in with you guys in a bit.

Take care,
Beth

Sounds like you have a good plan for the day, Beth.:goodvibes I hope Kate is feeling better.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Beth!

You are doing awesome with your workouts! Good job! I hope your daughter is ok with those nose bleeds....

keep up the great work and have a good weekend!

Hey girl. Just poppin' in to WISH you a great weekend! Love that Christopher Columbus for giving us a day off!

Keep up the great work and congrats on the BLUE team's victory this week - and for your highest score! :cool1: Way to rock it. :cool1:

Good luck at weigh in tomorrow.

Hi Beth, not staying off the scale is something we can all relate to! Its a challenge that's for sure. You are really doing well with your exercise, I'll swear you really put me to shame! I hope you got some add'l sleep this morning, Maria gets those nosebleeds too, they stink! Have a great weekend, hope you get some down time!

Good luck with weigh in at WW, no matter what happens, you had a great week, be proud of you!

Hi all,

Unfortunately, I have to work on Monday. Healthcare doesn't recognize Christopher Columbus, he doesn't have health insurance.;)

I stuck with my plan. I slept for an extra 2 hours. Then I walked the dog and helped in Kate's class. I love her teacher. She is so inspiring. I learn so much every time I go into that classroom.

I did the routine that Ken gave me, and the 30 minutes on the treadmill. My right shoulder bothered me doing the plank. I am going to have to keep an eye on that. I am also going to check out the site that Amy posted in Kim's journal. My hip is my major area of concern, any extra stretching of that area is all good.

My DD aged me a bit today. She told me that Adam kissed her at school today. It made her leg go up, just like in Princess Diaries. Hello, I was expecting this at 12, or maybe 15. Not 7. We talked about how that isn't appropriate behavior for school, and she is too young for a boyfriend. She was like, "Yeah, right.". Her new mantra is "School is for learning, not for kissing."

Tomorrow is a busy one.
1.) WW meeting. I am not really expecting a loss because TOM is looming.
2.) Lifetime. The plan is 90 minutes of cardio. 45 on the elliptical, 30 on the treadmill, and 15 on the bike.
3.)Hit Target and the mall for gifts.
4.) Coffee with a girlfriend.
5.) 1st bday party for my DH's cousin's son. It is at 7pm. :confused3 The best part? DH is leaving after 30 minutes because he is going to a poker game. DD and I will have to stay with his family for the duration of the party. Probably 9-10pm. Yeah, that will be fun.
6.) Kate is going home with Aunt Renee after the party. She is taking her canoeing on Sunday. I get to sleep in.:woohoo:

Ok, I'm off.
Take care,
Beth
