Yes and we think alike! I looked at EPCOT availability for this morning at about 10am and it looks promising.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the grace period for the return window has been extended to 2 hours. So if you find a nice one at Epcot for noon to 1 pm, you don’t really have to be there until 3 pm. Not having to rush between parks and attractions can make things much more enjoyable.

Another thing we found out the hard way is to not tap in early for anything if you happen to have an “anytime” lightning lane from an earlier ride closure.

Let’s say MMRR was down during your LL window and your LL converted to an anytime pass. And your next LL is for ToT. If you tap into ToT even a minute before your time, the system will automatically use your anytime LL, not your ToT LL.

A way around that is to visit a blue umbrella and ask them to convert that multi experience pass to a specific attraction. They can do that for a specific date or even a range of dates if you’re not sure when you can use it.

Disney disaster averted!

I was in charge of making LLs for my adult children this morning who are joining us at the campground for the weekend in the middle of our 12 day stay. We have a huge window and the LL date is May 9, almost 2 weeks away. I woke at 6:55 am and was ready to go.

After initial selections, my LL return times did not begin until 2pm! And they wanted to stack MK LLs for the evening. And they wanted to RD MMRR. This was not a good scenario.

The app showed availability for 9am but I could not modify the LLs. After 45 minutes of trying it occurred to me that DD29 has an AP and I bet she didn't make a park reservation. That was it! So, I made the park reservation and was able to modify.


Lesson: Make your AP park reservation before reserving LLs.
