Best Wii deal this season?

We've decided to buy our kids (DS10 & DD7) a Wii for Christmas this year. I've been trying to figure out exactly what to buy and where the best deal is. It looks (right now) like the $199 Red Wii bundle at Target is the best. I saw their Black Friday ad today and they don't even have a Wii deal in there... so, I'm guessing this week's deal is the best they'll offer.

Should I go out and buy it... any idea if it can be returned if I find a better deal before Xmas?

What do I need besides the basic system? Extra controllers? Charging station? What are some of the best games?

There's a deal this week? Where? All I've seen anywhere is full price for the bundle. Nintendo has a MSRP of $199 on the Wii bundles and that's all I'm seeing anywhere.

The red wii is probably the best deal this season. I think gamestop is doing a deal in most places where you get a $50.00 gift card when you buy it.

You'll need 1-3 extra wiimotes, depending on the games you buy.

I suggest getting one nunchuck.

The energizer charger stations are my personal favorite.

I would definitely get a charging station or rechargeable AA's because they go through batteries like crazy. Definitely buy at least 1 more wii remote as well.

I just looked it up. I think the promotion ended when they started offering the red wii bundle. It was a regular wii with a fifty dollar card, but when they put the mario game in there, they took the gift card off. Sorry!

Through Sat they have the red bundle at kmart and you get 50000 rewards points for their card which is 50.00 and even if you dont shop at kmart you could use the points toward another wiimote..you can do it online as well.

Amazon Prime members can right now get a $10 credit towards future purchases with the purchase of $75 worth of products from their toy list. The Wii is included in that list. It's not much, but it's something.

Dell has a new 10% off coupon code 05KRGB9F0KL7TR which was working earlier on Wiis bringing the bundles down to $179.99. Unfortunately the one I want is out of stock and they say won't be delivered until 01/04/11. The do have the black and white bundles with Sports Resort included but I really want the red Mario bundle. I'd rather pay more than have it delivered 2 months after Chanukah starts. I'm beginning to think I need to bite the bullet and pay full price to get it in time. If Dell's sold out then I wonder how long before other stores start selling out. The BF ads are looking grim for deals on Wiis.

BUY.COM has the Wii bundle for $199.99 free shipping it comes with Wii Resorts (which sells separately for $49.99). This is the best deal Ive seen so far.

I think this was the best deal last week. I got the red Wii with an additional 10% off from the Friends and Family promotion, plus the $52.00 credit on their reward card. I think I am going to get an extra remote with the credit.

Last Friday Amazon, had Disney Princesses, Alice in Wonderland and Princess and the Frog for $9.99 each. I am sorry that I didn't get the Guilty Party game, they had it for $20. Maybe they will offer a deal again.

This may not be for everyone but, DH went to a pawn shop yesterday (he loves those places) and there was a lady trying to sell her Wii - in box with extra games, controllers, and guitar. The place only offered $45 (said they have way too many of them), DH told her he'd give her $60. We wanted an extra one for the bedroom for Netflix, but didn't want to pay too much.

We too are thinking of getting a Wii. On a Saturday night we very often play board games or do karaoke as a family. I'm not too sure what all we can do with a Wii, but we are always looking for family time fun.

Bestbuy will be having the wii bundle on sale black friday for $169. But if I were you I would go to gamestop and get a used wii. Thats what I did and it has the same exact warranty and I ogot it for $130.

I bought a red Wii bundle (1 nunchuck, 1 red wii remote plus, the new Super Mario Bros game) 199 at Bestbuy. I asked about the red remotes and he said they wont come out anytime soon

If you live near a Meijer - the Sat after Thanksgiving it will be on sale for $149 and they have Santa bucks that are good for $20 off $99.97 or more - bringing it down to $129!!!

That is by far the best Wii deal I have ever seen - I read the coupon and didn't see an exclusion but I guess it is possible!

I don't have a Best Buy or Meijer near me, so those are out... looks like I'll be buying my Wii at Target using their extra $20 off coupon in the four days leading up to Thanksgiving.

Actually $179 seems like the very best deal, considering you don't have to stand in line and brave the Black Friday crowds for it.
