Hi, I was wondering if anyone has stayed at this hotel. We are thinking of staying here for our vacation the week of Christmas. There will be 4 of us staying in the room my husband and I and then our 2 kids a 4year old and a 3year old. (There is a chance our 3year old may still be in a crib). We also know that we will have to have mid-day breaks. There is also a chance the one of us will have to stay in the hotel with the little one while the other is in the park with our oldest. Here are some questions I have about the hotel.

How close to Disneyland?

Are the rooms ok? They don’t have to be the nicest

Size?

How is the breakfast?

Can you see the fireworks from the rooms?

If there is anything else you can add that would be great.

we stayed about 4 years ago so you may be looking for more recent info. we had a room with 2 queens and a half wall with a pull out couch as the 3rd bed. it was fine. nothing fancy. the first night we were there we were shocked to see the fireworks from our window. it was a nice surprise. the breakfast is upstairs and across the driveway. it wasnt memorable.

We have stayed there several times, last March being the most recent stay, and we are staying there again in a few weeks. It is a fine motel. It is the closest you can get to DL, closer than the onsite hotels. That is the reason we stay there. We usually get the king room, and it has a pull out sofa. My two boys share the sofa bed, and the youngest sleeps in her porta crib. We like the convenience of being able to quickly run back to our room. We also like that every room has a fridge and microwave. We haven't had the breakfast for a few years, but I have heard it is better than it used to be, and they are expanding it this spring. I have heard people complain about the noise, but it has never bothered me much. I have heard it, but it was never too bad, and I just expect it from a motel across from DL.

I have read they have both smoking and non smoking rooms. Do they do a good job of seperating the two or would you have a smoking room next to a non smoking room?

I ask because I am quite sensitive to smoke and get really bad sinus headaches when I am in a room that has been smoked in.

The BWPPI is directly across the street from the Park's main entrance. It's about a 5 minute walk from room to turnstiles.

The rooms have been recently updated; I've found the beds to be very comfortable. All rooms have a mini refrigerator and microwave. I like that there's a semi-seperate (partitioned off by a half-wall) couch/coffee table area.

Size?

The rooms are a bit larger than standard motel rooms. If you get a room on the 3rd floor, it will seem even bigger because of the very high ceiling.

How is the breakfast?

For a free breakfast, it's pretty good! Besides the usual continental breakfast items (pastries, bagels, toast, fruit), there's also biscuits & gravy, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a couple types of juice, and an assortment of cereals.

Can you see the fireworks from the rooms?

Not from inside your room, unless you're staying in one of the few rooms that face the Park. (I was told when I asked about it that these are rooms with 2 queen beds in them, and that one would need to request them ahead of time!) However, you can see the fireworks if you walk out to the front of the hotel...I did this a few times on my last trip.

If there is anything else you can add that would be great

It gets kind of noisy around the pool; if you go to sleep fairly early (or have kids who go to sleep early, or if QUIET is as important to you as it is to me ) ...request a room away from the pool.

We are staying there the end of March and I am very sensitive to smoke as is my son who has problems with asthma.
We have stayed here before many times in a non-smoking room and have had no problems. This was when they had smoking rooms.
My confirmation letter for this trip specifically states that ALL rooms are non-smoking and that there is a fine for smoking in the rooms. So I am thinking they must have stopped having smoking rooms.

I like hotels being non-smoking. Smoke also bothers me. In fact the So.Cal smog usually give me trouble by the end of our stay.

We have put this hotel on our list of possibilities for our next trip. Thanks for the info. everyone.

All rooms non-smoking? I booked a King-Smoking room. We will be there tomorrow.

My confirmation email from them says that as of Jan. 4, 2012 all rooms will be 100% non-smoking though their website does still say they have both smoking and non-smoking rooms.

As for the breakfast, according to posts by the manager on Trip Advisor they are in the process of adding pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage to their selection.
