Best Use of Disney Premier Visa

Recently just got the Disney Premier Visa from Chase. What is the best use of it? Can we put our annual dues on it and will it be coded as travel? Also, the 6 month 0% financing, is that for any Disney vacation say a year from now, 2 years from now, or just during the first 6 months that I have the card?

The zero percent for 6 months is always offered, but it's extremely limited as to what qualifies. You'll get the details when they mail a booklet to you or you can find it online when you make a my Disney rewards account. Things that have qualified for me: DVC direct purchase, DCL booking, including a hotel stay booked through DCL. Things that didn't qualify: pre buying anything for the cruise through the cruise app, onboard charges, anything else I've charged related to Disney.

I already had a Hulu+ subscription and the card negates the annual fee (I have the $49/ year card) because it reimburses me for a few months of the subscription.

I don't know how annual dues are coded because I get better rewards other places. It's truly not the best rewards card, but it's been great when I want to buy something on shop Disney and I have a rewards that I can use.

If you own DVC, you generally won't get the 6 months financing because it's only available for vacation packages booked through Disney. Since you aren't going to book a hotel stay, you won't be booking a package.

6 months zero percent is always available - not just the first 6 months of the card. It can be a nice benefit.

I have put Direct Contracts and DCL cruises on the card

The card gets a lot of hate, and deservedly so, but here is what I like about it:
1. Easy to redeem awards for Disney. They can be applied to just about any DVC purchase, including annual dues - which is very nice.
2. The card is either free or you can get a $49 card that includes a 3 month Disney+ credit which renders the card basically free
3. The ease of using it at Disney and not having to worry if something will be coded as travel or restaurant or merchandise and knowing you'll get the 2%.

We tend to put Disney purchases only on the card. Also helps provide perspective on how much money I am giving Mickey the Mouse.

We have the Premier card too, and when staying at WDW we have charged everything to the room and paid it off with the Disney Visa. That means we got 2% rewards on everything, because it all coded as Travel. If we used it directly at restaurants and for merchandise, those wouldn't code as Travel and we wouldn't get the 2%.

We have also charged our DVC dues to that card, and gotten 2% rewards for them.

However, I must be honest and say that now we buy Disney gift cards at a discount - minimum 5% with Target Circle Card, 10% or more when special offers arise. At WDW we still charge everything to the room, but we pay it off with DGCs. And we pay our dues with DGCs. We don't use the Disney Visa very often now, only if special offer (e.g. currently getting 5% back on groceries, restaurants and gas).

Am I missing a perk? Like with the AMEX BCP you earn 6% on streaming and they give you $10 a month for Disney+/Hulu? (Thanks @VGCgroupie I had completely forgotten about this card)

Or are you saying that with the 5% return on Disney+/Hulu/Espn that you have enough Disney Dollars to wipe out a few months of the service?

Just keep in mind not everything qualifies fro the 6 months 0%. It has to be a cruise, DVC purchase, or a vacation PACKAGE. I got burned by that.
Very true but if you have a good TA they can book you a "Ticketless" Package to get the room with the 0% for 6 months.

Since I'm out of points I recently did this with the AP Discounted rate and it is showing as 0% for the 6 months.

This is the best idea to charge to the room but I just wanted to point out that restaurants and disney merchandise locations would receive the 2% regardless.
Shops in Disney Springs (unless restaurants) most likely would only give the 1% except for Disney owned shops like World of Disney.

I wont be doing it again now that we are DVC, but I when I did it I just called Disney and booked and applied via them and was told it would qualify. So yes maybe TA know more than Disney reps themselves.

I believe it was a $14.99 credit monthly for 3 months on the Hulu+ package. Our Hulu includes live TV and a bunch of other stuff and is going up to $90/ month now. I'm only mentioning that because I don't know if there's a certain level of Hulu that you need to get the credit. Since the rest of the time, I get 5% back on Hulu, I just estimate that my AF is covered, but who knows. Maybe I pay $1/year. I haven't done the math. I only do Mickey math for Disney stuff

I've had the card for less than a year. I can't say for sure, but I believe the credit will repeat each year for 3 months.

I got the card and used it to book my vacation. We're staying at Fort wilderness at the end of March and got the dining. So I have about $1800 left to pay off of. It should be paid off second week of December. I'm not planning on using it in the Parks because I don't have enough self restraint. I'll use a prepaid Visa or something. I shouldn't have that many expenses. I'm not a big shopper.

I got the $400 in the statement credit and so far I've had about 150 in the Disney rewards just for booking the trip. But I did cut the card up after I booked the trip because I just knew that it would be way too tempting. Like I said, I don't have a lot of self restraint.
