What have you found is the best use of credits on the dining plan?

Breakfast buffet, snack mid day and then counter servcie dinner?

light breakfast in room, counter service lunch then table service dinner?

Just looking for ways others have utilized their credits.

thanks for your help!

This is what works best for us. For the occasional Character meal we may switch it around though.

We haven't used it yet, but in researching for future trips, we have found that BReakfast is the cheapest meal of the day, so it is not the best value from a monetary standpoint. Dollar-wise, the best value is a light breakfast in your room (snack credit perhaps), a couter service lunch, and TS dinner.

THat said, dollar value means nothing if you aren't comfortable. If your family usually eats heavier in the morning and does a lighter dinner, you should do that. Changing up eating habits on vacation is a good way to get a sour belly!

I agree with the above poster. The best way to work the plan moneywise is probably counterservice lunch and sit down dinner. Also don't "waste" your snack credits on bottled water, get a free ice water from any place selling fountain soda. If you really like breakfast trying splitting a counter service for breakfast and then again for lunch!

Also remember it's more important to enjoy what you're eating then always getting the bang for your buck. I speak from experience, don't always go for the most expensive item.

We have not ever been to WDW, but will be there in 2 weeks and will be on the DxDDP. Here's how we plan to use our credits -

Breakfast - OOP each morning except for 1 Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Lunch - DxDDP credit
Dinner - All Signature Meals (2 credits) except for 2 meals

We are staying concierge so we will take advantage of that for breakfast. We have ADR's for dinner every night for our 1 TS, and we plan on using our CS credits for lunch!
