Best Touring Plans?

Is there a general consensus on the best crowd predictor/touring plans?

I'm pretty sure we used the Unofficial Guide when we were at the parks last, but that was in 2005 before we had kids. Needless to say, things have changed a bit. We're planning a summer trip (onsite) so I think strategy will be more important than ever to avoid the insanely long lines that FP+ seems to have created.
