Best Steak on Property

Technically not "on property" but very, very close - Bull & Bear at the Waldorf Astoria Bonnet Creek.

If it must be a Disney restaurant (i.e. Takes the dining plan) then Yachtsman Steakhouse.

If you have to use the dining plan, I would do the Boathouse. If I was paying out of pocket #1 would be Bull and Bear and #1.5 would be Shulas.

Le Cellier. I have had their filet mignon 4 times- I told myself after the 1st time not to get my hopes up too high- but every time it is the best I have ever had. Anywhere.

I have tried many of the restaurants at WDW along with almost every signature restaurant and my favorites are.
  • Non Dining Plan
    • Shula's Steak House (and the best)
  • Disney Dining Plan
    • Yachtsman Steak House
    • Jiko
    • Narcoossees

Another vote for Yachtsman. I think its steak and overall menu is better than Le Cellier.

Jiko and Shula's are tied for me.

Flavor wise the combination of the oak wood grill and whatever rub they use at Jiko makes it my favorite filet from a flavor prospective, pre-refurb Flying Fish, a close second for the same reason.

If you're looking for filet solely off of quality of beef I'd pick Shula's. It's more simply prepared but it allows the quality of the meat to speak for itself. Every filet we've had at Shula's appears to have been further up the loin muscle where chateaubriands are typically cut from and have been less fibrous than filets further down the loin which we've encountered at other on property Signature restaurants offering filet.

Sides at Shulas edge out Jiko for me (including the mac and cheese vs crab mac and cheese). I don't typically get filet when I go to shula's though, usually opting for ribeye instead.

Yachtsman is my personal fave, but since Gibson's owns the boathouse, I am looking forward to trying that too....

All of these are obviously personal favourites as there is no "best" to many or others. Here are my favourites spots for steaks at Disney in order ...

1. Yachtsman
2. Le Cellier
3. Bull & Bear
4. Shula's
5. Jiko

LeCellier was the worst steak I have had on property. Longhorn produces better quality steaks for 1/3 of the price.

One of the best was at Jiko! But they may have changed the menu.

Otherwise if you are stuck with DDP Yachtsman or Boathouse (Boathouse does Gibson's steaks so they should be good)

Le Cellier is the best steak I've had at WDW.

Made a direct comparison last trip between Le Cellier and Yachtsman a couple days apart and Le Cellier was a much better steak IMO. I've never tried Shula's as we are usually booked with free dining.

Also had a steak at BOG last trip and it wasn't very good.

I was disappointed in Shula's. Just nothing special. The filet at Jiko was the best I've had on property. Yachtsman is very good.

For me I wouldn't say Le Cellier was the worst steak I've had at Disney, but it certainly wasn't signature quality. In fact I prefer several 1TS steaks over Le Cellier. I personally rate LC as my lowest rated signature and highly doubt I'll give it another try. As for Jiko, I was just there a few weeks ago and as always their filet was excellent.

My vote goes to Yachtsman. A true steakhouse experience.
Le Cellier is nice, but their food seems more production line. A bit over-seasoned.

It's all here.

Shula and Bull & Bear give the best steak...a better cut of higher quality beef than the others. But those looking for the best cut typically don't buy filet (which lacks the marbling for flavor). So, the rubs at Jiko put its filet at top.
