Best Star Wars Fireworks viewing spot?

Hi- we are planning to see the Symphony in the Stars in early Feb. and was wondering where the best spot to view them is in HS. I am signed up for the Dessert party, but if we can find a good (free) spot to view them, I will cancel that. TIA!

I'm sure people more qualified than me will chime in, but -- when I was planning for my trip last week someone on here mentioned the area in front of 50's Prime Time/Echo Lake as being good and it was! While I'm sure it wasn't the "best" spot, I didn't feel like I missed out on anything and it wasn't crowded at all.

We were able to get a good spot facing the Great Movie Ride about 20 minutes before. Was crowded but not too bad. But I've also heard Echo Lake is good

The original dessert party spot. There's a small section just before the "hub" (where the hat used to be and where the DJ stage currently is) on the left hand side that's good. If that's too crowded just to the left of that in front of the railing is good too. If you're too close to the DJ stand/Chinese theater it will block some of the views of the fireworks.
Echo lake is good too, there's some seating/viewing areas at the lake, in front of 50's prime time cafe that get you good views too and are generally less crowded.

How do these fireworks work with Fantasmic? Is there enough time to get out of Fantasmic and get to a viewing spot outside the theater? I assume that you cannot sit and watch them in the theater.

We were on Tower of Terror last summer during Star Wars fireworks. Brief but really unique experience when the doors opened.

This was during our successful 13 Tower rides in 2 hours experiment so we didn't have time to stop.

I'm able to book the Dessert party for March 15th, so, yes to the beginning of March.

the last dessert party as of now is Match 19th, so we will have fireworks until that day. By the post on the Disney Parks Blog it seems they might extend the fireworks past that date but nothing has been confirmed

Is it possible to stand outside the park, or inside near the entrance, see the fireworks and get to Illuminations? (I asked this 1/19)

Update - now that we are back - We were able to see the Star Wars fireworks from in front of Prime Time Cafe and, as soon as the show was over, we rushed down the street to the exit (it was the end of January, mind you, so the crowds weren't horrendous), around toward the parking lot to the path to the Boardwalk. A quick stop in the Boardwalk pool area to use the restroom, and out to the entrance of EPCOT, and into World Showcase with time to spare. We watched Illuminations from in front of Italy.

Are all versions of DHS fireworks shown in the same location (Symphony in Sky and future Star Wars, presumably)?

This area on Robo's map above, outside DHS does NOT have any audio, correct?

I've also seen conflicting info about whether the area in front of 50's Prime Time Cafe has audio - can anyone confirm about recently?

Going to be in Hollywood Studios first week in May. Will they still be having the fireworks then. Anyone know the last date for this?
