I have heard that you can sit along the beach to watch "Wishes" at the Polynesian Hotel. Is this true and are there speakers on the beach to hear the music that goes along with the fireworks?

We are having dinner at O'hana's at 5:30p and want to stay after dinner to watch the fireworks.

Thanks in advance for your help.

We sat along the beach after our dinner at Kona Cafe. I don't remember hearing the music at all, but maybe they added it since May?!?! The castle is pretty far off, and it wouldn't be my first choice of views (I much prefer actually being in the park), but if you're already there for dinner you might as well stay for the show. I suggest going to the second beach or standing on the hill between the two. The first was a little crowded and noisy.

If you sit anywhere on the main beach, you'll view it fine. Another alternative is to go over to the Tahiti beach. Pretty much the same view, but much less people.

At the beach there are chairs, lounges and a swing or two. I'd stake out one of these early while digesting dinner. The castle is in the distance but you get the full fireworks view. As for hearing the music - you could go to Grand Floridian and I believe they pipe the music outside Narcoosees.

I watched the fireworks from the Poly beach after eating at Kona Cafe and had a magical viewing of it. Seeing the full moon rising behind the palm trees just added to the perfect night, perfect location, and the perfect dinner I just had. Enjoy! Ely

I really don't care for Wishes if you can't hear the music. The music is what makes it a spectacular show. The only place that I heard the music was right around the pool area, but it was very faint. If you have never seen the show before, I would wait to experience it first with the full effect of the music.

In Dec. on the night we arrive we went resort hoping and just happened to be at Poly for Wishes. We stood near the pool and there were speakers and you could hear the music. It was wonderful. I enjoyed it very much because of no crowds. Would do again.

the view is decent but you really can't hear the music. Take the boat over to MK to watch. ::yes::

no flaming :sunny: ...but techincally speaking the beach is reserved for resort guests....including the chairs, etc...
