Best section of Saratoga Springs to stay in?

We have stayed in congress Park as well as the Grandstand. Loved the Grandstand. We had requested the Springs but upon check-in the CM asked if we'd like to stay in the new section. Loved the access to the pool. And the kids splash area was wonderful! We had a wonderful view of the golf course and the pool--could actually see the pool movies from our balcony at night! We we in room 33 something (I think). It is a very nice, short walk over to the Carriage house from the Grandstand. We have 2 kids under 4, and the 3 year old didn't even mind the walk.

Oh it sounds soo very nice.....!!!!!!

Stayed at Congrees Park in Feb. I don't think there is any food or drinks other than a vending machine.

We will be home for first time in October....We will just take whatever they give us...over time we want to try every location....cant wait when we can say we have stayed in every section

Oh you are going to love it.. We just got done adding on more points.. I know others say we should have added on at multiple resorts but we love SSR soo much......

We just stayed in The Grandstand a couple of weeks ago and it was beautiful. The pool there is very nice, especially if you have very young kids who like a splash park and are not the greatest swimmers yet. As someone else said they play movies almost every night by the pool which is really neat.

Not every section has a quiet pool so if that is something you would like then make sure you find out which sections do. (Congress Park and The Grandstand have quiet pools, I believe one other area does too).

You will love it there, it's our home resort and we absolutely love staying there!

What building did you stay in the GrandStand?????

We just left building 81xx. It's closest to the bus stop with a golf course view (the corner units view the pool or golf course). Building 85xx has units that exit directly out across to the pool. I suspect that's the side people were able to see the movies. Most of the units face the golf course and Treehouse Villas (with a path that leads to a dead end bridge -- old path to Treehouse Villas).

No one section is better than the other, I think. After 8 days there just walking around and enjoying the resort, I found something I liked everywhere. I even found some shortcut scenic paths to enjoy with early morning coffee or hot cocoa. Perhaps the only buildings that felt removed were the ones on the far east corner of the Paddocks. Even the Carousel had a nearby bus stop and two building access to the pool (or scenic shortcut to Grandstand).

My longest walks were: the path to OKW and West Side all the way around back to Grandstand.

Is there any place to get food or refill mugs at the quiet pool in congress Park? I like the idea that there is one at the new grandstand, but what hours are they open.

Magic4Four is correct. There is not any place to get food or refill mugs at the quiet pool in Congress Park.

Also remember when the new buildings at the Grandstand open and you happen to get one, you will be abought as far as Congress park from the CH.

We have stayed in Congress Park, The Springs, and The Paddock. We love the Paddock the best. In February we spent 2 weeks overlooking a beautiful pond. We were right next door to a pool and laundry.:yay:

Just got back from a first-time stay in Congress Park. A 10-minute walk to the Carriage House/spa/Artist's Palette/pool, and a 10-minute walk to the Marketplace/Downtown Disney. And a view of DD to boot.

Worked for us. But I'd like to try The Springs next time. We stayed in the Paddock last year, and just felt kinda isolated.

We recently stayed in the new section (Grand Stand) and really loved it. The pool was great and you can refill your mug there. It wasn't too far from the main area but a good distance to the walk for downtown.

Where is the spot where you fill up your mug? I think i may want to stay in that section!!

Hello all,

My family and I just returned from a wonderful trip to SSR... For my money, the new Grandstand area is the place to be:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 My three boys actually preferred the Grandstand pool to the main High Rock pool. Hard to beat the convenience of having the pool area (and the new pool bar!) literally feet from your villa. Made those late night swims after a day in the parks that much more enjoyable. Another plus IMO is the fact that the Grandstand area is the first bus pickup at SSR, ensuring a seat that was most welcome on those early morning rides to the parks.

We stayed in building right across from the Carriage house, and less then 300 foot from pool great location But have a bell man bring your luggage to you the walk from parking will kill you. The building closes to carriage house in Grand is 8501-8836, we had 8501 looking over gold coarse and eye sight to carriage house. We moved the second week closer to bus stop and that building was 8101-8436 bus stop is right there.

you could see them from building 8501 but you would have to be on the pool side rooms not the golf course views. Tell them at check in you want to see the movies they might be able to pick a room in that building for you
