Best romantic studio on property in Feb?

No Way. BLT is the only resort at WDW without privacy sheets on the windows - you either see the pretty view with everyone in the parking lot- on the monorail getting a perfect fishbowl view of you or have the view completely blocked by heavy curtains. It is not at all romantic - we called it the alien zoo because we felt like someone was always watching us - as if aliens had built BLT as a human observation station. :scared1::eek:

I have never even stayed in a cheap La Quinta without a privacy sheer in addition to light blocking curtains. I can not fathom why BLT with it's great views would not have privacy sheers!

oh my gosh too funny :rotfl: :rotfl2:

"as if aliens had built BLT as a human observation station"....maybe BLT is actually an attraction in a futuristic alien theme park :yoda: located right outside MK that us earth folk cannot see :earseek:

Not enough people are willing to spend the time writing to Disney to let them know that this needs to be fixed.

FYI, there are cameras on the AKV Savannah rooms 24x7 to make sure guests do not try to feed the animals. If a guest is spotted attempting to feed the animals, they are escorted off the property. If you do not want to be on camera there, close the curtains (not just the sheers).

Oh snap! They saw me naked!:scared1::rotfl::rotfl2:

SSR and OKW are more spead out and quiet. When I am thinking romance I prefer a little more quiet. OKW has a very pretty romantic feel to it anywy. But I would probably go for the 1 bdrm. You get that nice king bed and the Jacuzi. I realize I am in the minority here but I really like the laid back atmosphere that goes with kew west. All the hustle and bustle of some of the other resorts just doesn't seem romantic to me. AKV is quieter then some of the others but everything is still closer together.

In a warmer month, I'd suggest SSR as the Congress Park pool might be one of the most romantic on property with that DTD view (but I think February is more miss than hit for swimming) For a short trip, I wound up with an SSR far Grandstand room and was stunned by the golf course / river view. I do think romantic can happen most anywhere on property if you are open to it.

and FYI, AKV CL may or may not have a savannah view, so make sure the hubby approves of a possible pool view or a (somewhat far away from animals) savannah view.. personally I would think the added torus and service would outweigh that though.

I love the tropical theme of OKW; the piped in music puts you in a festive mood. The sultry surroundings are enchanting and the palm trees are exquisite.

I like a Congress Parl villa at SSR overlooking downtown Disney. And it's next to a "quiet" pool.

Okw would certainly get very high marks in the 1BR+ units for the theme.
Personally, I would put OKW studios last in the romantic category because I would prefer a couch over the 2nd bed in okw studios.
Now in the family value category, 2 queens makes for a winning unit!

the one with no kids!

We think BCV is romantic for our "trips just the two of us". Not because of the room, but because of the location. We love sitting on the beach reading and looking at the BW, or strolling over to the World Showcase for lunch or a snack!

After staying in 5 different DVC resorts I think VWL could be the most Romantic if you are there with the one you love. From little nooks in the lodge to a quiet night on the beach next to the lake.

It seems as though VWL wins :) I have not stayed there yet but have been to the resort many times...To me it seems like the perfect spot for a romantic getaway and to celebrate having a love in your life! Best wishes to you! It sounds as though you and your DH are very lucky!
