Best ribs????

I have only had the ribs at the Sci Fi Restaurant and they were great! With an appetizer, it was actually enough for two people ;)

Wow, that is good to know. We always go there for lunch - and I thought they were famous for margaritas and burgers  Will definitely have to check them out.

thx :earsgirl:

I have had the ribs at SciFi and thought that they were just okay. We love Smokey Bones, but they are off-property. No ribs on property compare....

The ribs at the Flame Tree Barbecue are pretty good for counter service. I do not like the ones that they have at the food court at PO Riverside at all.

You have to try the ribs at Raglan Road. The new Irish Pub in DTD. The ribs are called "HEAVEN ON EARTH" and they are soaked in Guinness and Honey and they are so very wonderful. And no you dont taste the Guinness, my wife doesnt like Guinness but absolutly loved the ribs. And if your going to the bar ask for Donald (aka Jack Splat) on DIS.

Personally, I LOVE the ribs at Hoop-De-Doo. (The fried chicken there rocks, too) I believe they serve the same items at Trails End at Fort Wilderness.

My dh and I both love ribs, so this thread caught my attention!

We had the ribs at Captain Jacks in DTD, they were ok, I would try them again to give them a second chance. Had the ribs on the Clam Bake at Cape May's and they were very tasty.

I will have to give the others a try in the above posts.

Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge) has good ones-- they come in the family style bowl. It's all you care to eat (along with chicken-- which is sooo good, and other stuff), which came in handy because one time the ribs were mostly fat but we got more. The sampler meal with ribs (I forget what it is called) is on the dining plan also.

We liked the ribs so much at FlameTree that we made a point of hitting there twice during our last trip. Will be happy to try it again this time. How can you resist with that wonderful smell? :earboy2:

Hey, thanks everyone. DS14 has just become a rib addict so I thought it would be nice to surprise him in January with a rib fix. Living in the south and in a college town we have lots of bar-b-q joints. He has always preferred beef but lately has become hooked on pork ribs. I do recall the heavenly smells when we pass Flame Tree, however, those soaked in Guiness sound amazing - maybe we will try several types :teeth:

Thanks so much everyone.

To heck with the 14 year old, I'm forty-something and found out my braces are coming off a few weeks before my trip -- I have been craving ribs and corn on the cob!!!! This is gonna be almost as good as the first night out after breastfeeding for six months :rotfl2: .

DH is a BIG rib fan and he swears by the MOJO Bones at the Rainforest Cafe. They were much better than those served at Flame Tree.

Brenda,

you go girl  i too had braces in my 40's and I swear the day they came off was truly one of the happiest days of my life :goodvibes

The ribs at Boatwrights are great! Tender, good sauce, and the atmosphere is nice. I will be giving Raglan Road's ribs the rib taste test next week. I'll let ya know what I think! :goodvibes
