We are going to Universal for the first time at the end of March!! We will be there 2 nights before heading to WDW. What restaurants do you suggest for kids -- DD 6, DS 9. Can we make priority seating reservations ahead of time like at WDW? Thank you!

Burger digs at IOA in the JP section. It's cheap, but good. There's a condiment bar with all the fixins for the burger. On the lower level is the discovery center. If they want pizza, there's a joint just around the corner.
Kids don't like long sit down meals where you have to wait.

My Kids (DD6 & DS7) liked:

At Universal - Monsters Cafe. This is a counterservice restaurant, but each room is themed to an old monster movie (Dracula, Creature from the Lagoon, Frankenstien,...etc.). They had pizza, pasta, hamburgers and such.

At IOA- Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous (Suess Landing). This a counterservice, but is brightly colored and nicely themed. They have fried chicken, pasta & pizza.

Also, Mythos. When my kids saw it from the outside they thought it was cool & had to eat there. It's very kid friendly if you get a good server & they have neat kids desserts (This is also a good one for the parents!!).

City Walk - Margaritaville (Very Fun)!!
Nascar Cafe (My son especially liked this one)

City Walk - Margararitaville - my DDs 7 and 4 loved the balloon animals and we loved the margaritas!

DS 11 says to try the Confisco character breakfast and definately go to NBA City. He is also a big fan of Margaritaville, and ditto what muntzfab4 said about the margaritas  !

Depends on your kid(s) - Mine likes to get a pizza at the Cafe 4 [UU on the IOA map](beer available for the adults) right across from the Hulk Coaster. If you don't want pizza, there are many other options.

There is also a large arcade attached to the Cafe.

In addition, the location is central for groups going between the Spiderman, Hulk, Doctor Doom, and Storm Force Acceleratron (only open on weekends this time pf the year).:sunny:

My kids like the Hard Rock Cafe (they are 10 and nearly 8). They also enjoyed Jurassic Park burger place and Lombards Landing and Finnigans Irish Stew with Cinammon Bread starters.
