I got excited and bought a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT last year. It is a great camera, but it really isn't practical for me. I am a point and shoot girl and I really thought I was going to start up photography as a hobby. Seeing all these beautiful pictures here on the DISboards, etc. really inspired me. But I have rarely used it, and a lot of the reason it is just bulky and I really don't want to be bothered with it :confused3 . I bought a Canon PowerShot SD700 IS for my Disney vacation for its size and it is just perfect for my needs. It does all the work and it transport great!! I was wondering if Ebay is the best place or if there is another place on the net that specializes in reselling of electronic/photography items.

I imagine I am going to lose a lot of money. But it makes no sense to have it sit inside my china cabinet drawer. :confused3

TIA

( I will be posting some pics soon from my Disney vacation last week that I took with my Canon PowerShot) :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I would think that ebay would be your best bet, just set a reserve to make sure you get at least what you are hoping for..

When I upgraded from the 20D I sold it in two days on Craigslist. It was great and no Ebay fees.

I agree on Craigslist. No fees, no shipping. I just got a used XT, from B&H so you can look there and closed ebay auctions for value, so that you can sell at a realisitic price. If you have accessories, extra lenses, etc. value them as well.

Thanks to all of you for your ideas. I never thought of Craigslist.com

I also really don't know the value to put on it but I will definatley check for closed auctions and see what they are going for.

Thanks :goodvibes :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

glad you brought this up as i was all set to try selling some stuff on ebay( nerveracking as that was making me)...i always forget about craigslist and put it on there instead. Thanks!
