Trying to plan a sit down lunch for family of 4 (2 boys ages 4 & 2) and I can't decide whether to do 50' s Prime Time, Sci Fi Dinner or what?

Any suggestions or opinions. Thanks

Our favorite sit down at MGM for lunch is Mama Melrose. Great flatbreads and the service is fantastic. Very friendly and very fast. It is a great break from the park.

That's tough!!! We both love Prime Time, Sci Fi and Mama Melrose's. You really can't go wrong.

Considering the ages of the boys, I think that they would get the most out of the Sci-Fi.

We went to 50's and Sci-Fi when my boys were 5 & # and the "car restaurant" is the one they remembered.

Another, less expensive option, is Pizza Planet. My DS's enjoyed our lunch there as well.

I would recommend either Sci-Fi or 50's Primetime. I think they will get a kick out of the Drive-in theme at the Sci-fi & the old fashion kitchen's at 50's. Food at both is good.

My family loves the Brown Derby for lunch...we love the cobb salads. Its not to expensive at lunch and the portion is large. It used to be a real busy place, but we just walk up at lunch time and usually wait 5 minutes or less for a table. It the first place we hit when we arrive at WDW...... :bounce:

For entertaining kids and parents alike, I'd say Primetime - as long as you get a waiter that is really into it. The last few times we were there it seemed as though the wait staff was much "happier" than they had been for a while. The Sci-Fi is always a big hit with the kids. It is dark in there and the seating doesn't really allow for "family interaction" but everyone should try it at least once. Food is fairly good at both. I'd say the Brown Derby would be the least entertaining for kids. Mama Melrose is like eating in a NY Italian family retaurant with no entertainment. I'd save my Italian dining for Alfredo's at Epcot. Prices are more reasonable at lunchtime at all of the above. Don't forget H&V for good buffet style food. We were quite surprised the last time we ate there at how good the food was.

No question about it, Pizza Planet! I think your boys will love the Toy Story setting and all the bright colors and games down stair. IMO, I would wait before taking them to either Sci-Fi or 50's Prime Time so that when they are older they will enjoy it more.

Sci-Fi is just a really cool restaurant to eat in. You get to watch old movies in a 50's style car. Cars are nice if you have and even number of people(2 or 4).

I ate there with my parents where there were only three of us. I felt like I was by myself in the back seat.

Great burgers and other sandwiches. Everytime we say we would like to try 50's or the Brown Derby again, but we end up at Sc-Fi.
