Best place to buy pins online?

I'd love a PM w/ reputable sellers :) please and thanks!

I use eBay too! I like to buy lots of around 100 and then split between the 3 kids. This always lasts us awhile and helps with the fact that they always want to keep some! I have ended up always using the same person on eBay because I have gotten good pins with her. The pins come out to under $2. The last ones I bought at the end of July came out to $1.78/pin out the door, including shipping. There are no pro pins, sedesmas or euro disney in these, either. If anyone wants the name I will pm it, although, I'm sure it's on some of the other posters lists, too! :)

Also, this eBay seller doesn't just sell in large lots-they do smaller amounts, too! I just like to buy a bunch at a time!

i dont like ebay i avoid it at all costs i loved when i found this site. and easy to pay with card too. Ive been hurt on ebay in the sum of 500$$ and dont trust alot there. at least mousepinonline gives me a lot of peace of mind.

From DizziPinz Pin Trading Guide:

Can I trade the Sedesma or Pro-Pins I purchased in “lots” with Disney Cast Members or with the Pin Traders?

- It has been rumored from time to time that Disney Cast Members will no longer be allowed to accept either Sedesma Pins or Pro-Pins. If you purchase these pins you are certainly taking a risk that they will not be accepted by the Cast Members.

- It is highly unlikely that you will find any Pin Trader who will accept either a Sedesma or a Pro-Pin in trade.

Like I've said twice now, they don't accept them in the books but neither would they take my Disney Store pins in the books. The CM's wearing lanyards or hip lanyards had no problems taking my pro pins. And again, like I said, not all pin traders will take Pro Pins BUT I personally do.

Anyone who wants to know about good ebayers just PM me, I've got a small list of people I buy from, people who have lots and people who do singles. :)

That's fine if you personally will accept them. It's good for people who are interested to be aware of issues that can happen with pin trading so they are not taken aback if they have things pointed out by other traders and they have no idea of the different quality pins out there.

It's also not a good feeling to find out after the fact that you have inadvertently traded a good Disney pin for a low quality Sedesma pin in the parks. Some people have no issues buying inferior pins and getting rid of them in the parks for better pins, but then someone who does not know better has a bad chance of trading a CM for those pins. Something to think about.......

I was just looking on ebay the other day and someone had a ton for sale. She said she was a cast member with rare pins.

Oh I know that feeling. My DD8 traded for a Sedesma pin from a CM. She was getting it for me and didn't know it wasn't "real", she was sad. I kept it but I don't like the Sedesmas. I actually have 2 that we got from CM's. If we see them we usually point them out to the CM and they take them off. The ProPins are neat though, some of them are very pretty and I have traded with other "traders" in the parks as well as with CM's. Technically the only ones that are not accepted are the Sedesmas, anything else is tradable as long as it has the Disney copyright on the back. :) Some people don't like the ProPins, some people do. That's my whole point. Do you buy all your pins in the parks exclusively? If so I can completely understand your complaint, if not I don't understand it as much. I don't pay more than $2 per trader so for me it's not as devastating as if I were paying full price for traders inside the parks. We seem to keep having this disagreement, I think we should just agree to disagree at this point. LOL :goodvibes

quartz, would you mind sharing the seller with me? You can PM me with the info. I would be interested in seeing what they have available, I like to give pins as Christmas gifts to my girls. :)

Being ever so new to this...what is the deal with pins and trading, do you carry them all round and swap any duplicates you have, or do you try to get a set? who can you swap with? Is it fun?

I personally don't trade pins so I can't attest to the fun-ability, but my kids love to trade them. 99% of the time they trade with CM's. They feel more comfortable trading with CM's because they are very friendly and patient about the process. I think that there is a little feeling of security trading with a CM rather than a "stranger" ;). My oldest DD tries to collect a certain "set" at any given time, while my younger DD generally trades for pins she finds attractive. As far as what pins you trade, if it's with a CM, the pins that are traded are totally up to you (from what I understand), as long as it's a pin that they don't all ready have.
