We are still more than 180 days out for our trip, but I want to be ready to book our ADRs first thing so we hopefully get our preferred restaurants and times. I am thinking about a dinner ressie where we can also watch wishes.

Does anyone have any suggestions about the best place and dinner ressie times to book for viewing Wishes during our meal? Love to hear your favorites and why!!!

Thanks in advance everyone!

The only two places I know of is Narcoossees and CA Grill. I would not choose either of those if that is your only shot to see Wishes. It's a subpar viewing and is nice if you've seen Wishes a few times already but Wishes is designed to be seen on Main St - you will miss SO much if you only see it off to the side and away from the park.

ETA: it can also be seen from 'Ohana but it's not a good view at all; and if your table doesn't overlook the window, you will have to go stand on the other side of the restaurant to view it. We went during the fireworks and decided the view wasn't worth standing over someone's table for. But it's a nice alternative for families seeing it a 2nd or 3rd time.

Thanks for the input Aimeedyan, but we have been multiple times and have seen Wishes from Main Street. Last year it was a must do since our youngest DS didn't get to see it the year before when it got rained out the night we were there. We had the perfect spot just out in front of Casey's Corner.

We will be there July 4th and I know MK will be absolutely packed, so I was wondering if there was a way to see the fireworks without being in the mob. I think I have seen that there are other ways to view the fireworks, maybe from the water, or across the lake. It doesn't necessarily have to be a restaurant but thought that might be a nice alternative.

Since it is July 4th, and they put on a special showing, we may just fight the mob. We may also take it in on the 3rd instead when hopefully there will be a few less people.

Any other suggestions? Anyone?

We watched our first viewing of Wishes from California Grill. It was awesome! They pipe the music both outside on their viewing platform and in the restaurant, where they dim the lights as well. The food at CG is delicious, too.

Hope this helps!

In that case, I'd try and snag a reservation at CA Grill one evening to see it.

I highly recommend Narcoossees...Our ADR was at 7:50pm and it worked out perfectly.
I've seen Wishes a TON of times on Main Street, but there was something so cool about seeing it from here.
You can actually hear ALL of the music and it was beautiful. We realized that there were parts in the show we never heard from Main Street!
It felt more intimate too...almost like it was our own little showing! :thumbsup2

We were at Epcot 2 yast year for the Fourth. The fireworks were absolutely fantastic. They had the regular show and then had a 15 minute display for the Fourth. This would be another option becuase it did not appear to be extremely crowded.

Thanks, that makes two votes for CA Grill.

Thanks for the tip on the time for the ADR. Thought the watching from a different location might make it a whole different experience. Sounds like that may be true. It gets a little hard to hear everything that is going on with all the crowd noise, and the booms and bangs.

You gave me another option.:thumbsup2 Seems like I read someone else saying that Epcot was relatively less crowded on the fourth. We could catch the fireworks at MK on the third via an ADR, and then take them in at Epcot during the less busy 4th. :woohoo:

I was there this year for July 4th. On July 3rd, we ate and Cali Grill and watched the fireworks. It was beautiful. On July 4th, we ate at Crystal Palace and watched the fireworks from the front porch. Loved this vantage point more. It was much more breathtaking. My pick would be Crystal Palace.

I would go with the California Grill because of their view of the Magic Kingdom, so it would be a great place to watch Wishes from.

We were just there and watched the fireworks from both Narcoossees and from California Grill.

I loved the atmosphere from Narcoosees the lights are lowered way down and the music was piped in. We also got a great view of the Electric Water Pagent. This was my favorite for romantic.

The view however was better from California Grill, we had a window seat and opted to stay in it during the show, but you can also get up and goto the observation deck. We did the deck and some wonderful pics from there before dinner.

Flip a coin they are both great... unless you have a problem with hieghts then stay away from CG, you are on the 15th floor with a great view!

Here are a couple of pics of us on the observation deck at CG.

If it doesn't have to be a restaurant, the very best place to see Wishes is from a Fireworks Cruise.

I've been at both Narcoossee's and Ohana's during Wishes. I guess I would have to say that it depends on your seat, but I had a great view at Ohana and it was beautiful. Narcoossee's would have been the same experience but while I was inside eating trying to watch, people were outside blocking my view!:confused3
