I have no idea…. Tradition ? LolWhy would they import water when there are water treatment machines that can do it in house with local tap water.
It’s been a few years and it may have been the booze but the Margarita pizza at Terralina at DS was pretty decent as well … the entire meal there was surprisingly goodWe love Via Napoli's pizza, and can't wait to go there every trip. It's about the only pizza we eat at Disney World anymore.

We like Mod Pizza but it's off-property (15 min. from Disney Springs).
We thought about trying Giordanos
Giordanos deep dish was one of my favorite pizzas I ever got at Disney. However that was first time I got it (2022?). I got it several times after in other trips and after about 3 times of being disappointed in it I stopped trying it.We don't get pizza at WDW much because, as others have said, a lot of the pizza on property is bleh. We enjoy the "make you own" restaurants like Mod, Blaze, Pie-o-neer back home and occasionally get Blaze at DS.
We've had Giordano's delivered to AKL and also driven over there to dine in. It's really good. If you don't like Chicago-style deep dish (which is basically a brick of mozzarella inside a thin crispy crust), they also have traditional "hand-tossed" crust pizzas too.
I've also read about the water making the difference in pizza crust taste and consistency. We might give Via Napoli a try next visit.
Pizza at Trattoria is more than decent and does the trick.Via Napoli is good, but about a year ago we tried the pizza at Trattoria Al Forno on the Boardwalk for the first time. I thought it was better than Via Napoli and less expensive.
I forgot about Connections pizza, it is much better than the average QS (very close to the NY/NJ pizza we know and love)Pizza at Trattoria is more than decent and does the trick.
FWIW best QS pizza is at Connections in Epcot. Looks like a real slice not the usual QS yuck.

Our usernames are similar and we both like "make your own" pizzas (I also like Blaze in addition to MOD). I never heard of Pie-o-neer so I googled it and there's a location in Hazelton, PA. Would you happen to also be from PA?We don't get pizza at WDW much because, as others have said, a lot of the pizza on property is bleh. I always thought it was strange that they don't serve the same pizza there as you get inside Via Napoli. In my opinion the pizza at the window next to Via Napoli is good if you like a thick Sicilian slice. But it’s not always open
I’m pretty sure the pizza window uses a different type of oven in a closer to the window location. I’d guess it’s electric.I always thought it was strange that they don't serve the same pizza there as you get inside Via Napoli.
Interesting. They also don't use the same pizza dough, sauce or toppings. It's a completely different pizza.I’m pretty sure the pizza window uses a different type of oven in a closer to the window location. I’d guess it’s electric.
I don’t know if it’s true but someone told me it was owned by a different establishment and that they can only open a certain amount of days per year. That’s what I was told don’t know if any truth to it but I love Sicilian pizza so whenever I see it open I grab a slice even if I’m not so hungry LOLI always thought it was strange that they don't serve the same pizza there as you get inside Via Napoli.
Hi, Grumpy! No, I'm not from PA. The "Pie-o-neer" location I've visited was when I lived in Virginia Beach several years ago. I've never seen one anywhere else. Our usernames are similar and we both like "make your own" pizzas (I also like Blaze in addition to MOD).
