Best Pizza in Walt Disney World

I haven't found any good pizza at WDW either. (The flatbread at WPE isn't bad, but to me flatbreads aren't real pizza either.)

I don't know how far Giordano's is, but I do know that they deliver right to your resort. It may be a good day to nap back at the resort, order Giordano's for dinner and eat by the pool. :)

OP - my advice to you is to forget about pizza at WDW, get it out of your mind, because you won't find anything that will be acceptable.

Even my kids won't eat it, and they have been known to sneak an occasional Dominos pizza at some b-days parties. (the humanity :lmao: )

When your plane lands in Chicago, call your favorite pizza parlor for delivery, and you and the pizza guy can pull up at the same time. That has become one of our vacation traditions and its a great way to end your trip. :goodvibes

I love it. What a perfect idea. We arrive back at O'Hare at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon. I'll call and have that pizza ready! :rotfl2:

make sure you order more than you need, because if you're like me, the grocery store won't happen until the next day.....and what else would you have for breakfast? :lmao:

have fun!

There are some pretty tasty flatbreads around the World, though not typical pizza and they can be fancy. We love the flatbread at Cali Grill and had a good one as an appitizer twice at Mama Melrose in DHS.

The Best pizza we ever ate in WDW was a Digiornio that we made in our villa at OKW:)

Pretty much anything you buy on property is pretty bad -- sometimes the kids still want it so that is why we have tried the various locations.

Absolute Worst --- the window off the Boardwalk
Best of the Bad --- Disney Quest

At least now I know I am not too picky:lmao: ....I have never had any good pizza in WDW....I live in NJ near Philadelphia, and I think this area of the country has great pizza too, so I am spoiled!!!

I think, on the whole, the corridor from Philly to Boston has the best pizza in the country. Sorry, Chicago. :lmao:

You make a good point. Generally, those of us from parts of the country with good, locally owned pizzerias, don't like WDW pizza. Those from parts of the country where Pizza Hut (or some other chain) is the best you can find probably think WDW pizza is OK.

I couldn't say if Philly or Boston is better--never been to the East Coast. But my aunt, who grew up in Chicago and lived here for 20 years before she got married and moved to Philiadelphia where she has lived the last 60 years, always tells me that in order to have a decent pizza she has to come back to Chicago. But like the Disney restaurants, all a matter of personal opinion. :)

You guys are funny! Well I guess we will try Pizza Planet (my son is a huge Buzz fan) and get a good pizza when we get home. For those of you in teh chicago area - my favorites are Gino's East and Pequad's. I am a deep dish girl...

We wanted Pequads for lunch, but they don't deliver. Had to have nasty Lou Malnati's.

Kids pizza everywhere in the world is pretty yucky...Pizza Planet I would say the 'best';) My DS4 is not picky when it comes to pizza and there were several places he ordered it and wouldn't touch it. :sad2:
I really like the pizza at Captain Cooks @ the Poly..really enjoyed the hawaaiin pizza.
I also like the pizza @ Wolfgang Pucks Express in DTD...I thought it was really good. :confused3

This is a funny thread for me. We actually look forward to going to WDW for the pizza. Actually, it's not on property, but we always make a trip to Pizzeria Uno just off Disney property. We're from Oklahoma and we have no good deep dish. To us...Uno's is heaven. I'm sure for the Chicago purest Uno's is second class...but hey...when you live in the desert...

Now ask me about good bar-b-que at WDW!!! Let me just say that if Flame Tree was in Oklahoma it would go broke in a day. And Mexican food...don't even get me started...

I like all kinds of pizza but the pizza at Disney has never been great. The best of them seemed to be at Pizzafari or at the nicer restauranmts where you get fancy flatbread and such. I just got back from 12 days at WDW and only had pizza once...at the CBR food court and I will say it was pretty good. Not wonderful but I was happily surprised, particularly since I ate at an off time and they pulled one out of a the heat cabinet alread made. I thought about going back later in the trip to see if it was a fluke but never made it.

Born and bred in NY, I support this opinion wholeheartedly.

Giordano's isn't bad, but it's Chicago style, so not perfect for the NY purists. ;)

As to WDW pizza...Oy. :sad2:

We had a great pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express this year. I think it is a new remodeled restaurant. We actually went twice this year. There were 6 of us and I think it was our favorite find this year. It definitly is not deep dish pizza but it was very good. I'm not a great fan of pizza mainly because I don't like a lot of meat. I do like something different expecially all veggies and different tastes. Not sure if that helps

Pizza planet does a good veggie pizza and Spoodles pizza is good too.

My favourite pizza topping is pineapple and I can never find it in USA, oh well guess I can't have everything.

While Giordano's may be from Chicago - IMO it does not represent Chicago style pizza. About 20 years ago when Giordanos had just one store, it was OK (at best), now they are a quasi-chain/franchise and they truly don't make what a mom and pop pizzeria would call a Chicago style pizza.

I feel the same way about the Chicago style pizzas that the tourists come to eat - the pizzerias you see on Food shows are way too commerical for my tastes.

its true! disney pizza is terrible!
too bad such a wonderful place can't make ONE good pizza!!

Its my understanding that its the water. Something about the Florida water that won't allow the dough to rise. At least that's what my Italian snowbird mother told me.

None of her awesome foods tastes the same in Florida. ;)
