Best Moderate Resort??

Thanks so much Buzz. I am asking because it would be a crisis if my two year had to watch her sister using the slide and should could not..:rotfl:

Will it be common to see a dad taking his 2 or 3 year daughter down the slide? Who would tell him not too? A Lifeguard?? LOL Just want to make sure I know what I am in for.. :thumbsup2

Thanks again for all of your awesome info!:cheer2:
Yes, a life guard sits at the bottom of the slide (see pic below). Some of the bravest kids get scared when standing at the top of the slide. You'll see it all the time. One year, I asked a dad if he wanted me to take his DD down the slide because she really wanted to go but not alone. The dad didn't want to go, I think he was scared. ;) So I asked the lifeguard if it was okay and he told me that he would have to "yell at me" at the bottom but to go ahead.

My vote goes to CSR as well. Stayed there for the first time last year for MVMCP and now where staying there again this year because we liked it so much.

A little over 2 weeks!!!!

CSR is my fave. The transportation was great! POR is too big and spreadout, and the busses can be atrocious. The worst is CBR by far.

I would say look at POR French Quarter! We stayed at POR in the AB section it was nice, but we visited FQ several times. It has a really nice cozy feel, especially at night. Not to be mean, but think twice about CSR. I did and regreted not booking until i visited my sister twice there. We were so excited to check it out only to be thankful we were not staying there. Suits were everywhere and those carts transporting them about ran us over everytime. Peppermarket was ridiculous! Why people say POR is huge and think that CSR is not is beyond me. To each his own. There seems to be a loyal following with CSR. Make sure you research all the pros and many cons with that resort! Have fun!

We did the same thing - stayed at POR but visited POFQ and I would recommend either one of them. They are probable all nice, with mostly the same amenities since they are all mods. I believe CSR has a spa and salon, but that to me is a non-factor as I would never use them. CSR has had some iffy reviews lately, with the "suits" being the biggest negative. I think the main pool at CBR is under renovations, but I'm not sure about the dates. Also, I think CBR's rooms are slightly bigger.

The funny thing about POFQ is that it was originally built as the first value resort. It used to be the equivalent of the All Stars. There's no way I would pay a moderate resort price to stay there when it used to be the cheapest resort on property.

There is a loyal following with all WDW resorts.

That makes more sense now. As far as amenities go, it still is equivalent.

I just have to comment on the "suits" at CSR. We have never seen much of that in our stays. The conventions are generally booked in the Casitas section unless they request otherwise, as that is where the convention center and special amenities are located. If you are in another section of the resort, you could miss them completely. Peppermarket is crowded right at noon from the conventions breaking for lunch. We have been around 11:00 and around 1:30, and had no problems with crowding. The pool is crowded in the late afternoon, and the DTD buses are definitely packed from dinnertime on because of the meeting times. I say decide what type of schedule you are going to go with, and then see if it will be inconvenienced by the "busy times."
