My vote would be for the CBR. We have stayed there two years in a row and loved it! Our stay is 10 days and we always find things to do when we stay at the resort for a day.
My 19 year old daughter really enjoyed the CBR. She enjoyed going down to the beach and playing volleyball with the other guests. There are hammocks and beach chairs on the beaches too.
Our daughter arrived via Magical Express two days after we drove in. She was a counselor on a church youth group trip and couldn't drive down with us. So, needless to say, she was one tired girl when she made it to the resort. One night, my husband, son and I decided to use the evening extra magic hours and our daugther just wanted to head back to the resort. She hopped on the CBR bus and went back to the resort. The transportation system works so efficiently, it didn't take her long to make it back to the resort. I also felt very comfortable with her making the trip alone.
The CBR is so centrally located that it never took us long to reach any Disney destination which is a real big plus in our book.
We spent a couple of "down days" where we slept in and took advantage of some of the resort amenities.
We rented watermice from the marina one day and surrey bikes on another. You can also rent pontoon boats, canoes, sailboats and bicycles.
You can also now take a fishing excursion from the marina.
The walk around the resort was really pretty. The promenade is just a little over a mile long and takes you all around the lake. There is also an island in the middle of the lake where you will find benches and gliders. Picnic tables are on the island and would be a great place for your teenagers to just rest spend time alone.
There is an arcade where you can purchase a refillable game playing card. While the arcade is not super large, there were enough games to keep up with the June crowd.
The food court was super easy to do. There are separate food stations where you order your food and then go to one central cashier. Lots of food choices too.
The store is divided in two with one side that sells lots of pirate themed and tropical themed items. The other side sells the more traditional Disney merchandise.
Each village has their own quiet pool. The quiet pools were never busy and we sometimes had the quiet pool all to ourselves. The main pool was neat. It looked like an old Spanish fort complete with water cannons.
If there are girls in your group, they can have their hair wrapped at the station situated near the main pool.
The resort is a really pretty site at night. The lights from the villages sparkle on the lake. Every evening, you can see the Epcot fireworks from several locations around the resort.
I would definitely say that the CBR is a great resort for teenagers!
