My husband and brother played at Eagle Pines in January (Sis-in-Law and I joined them as riders). My brother wanted to play Osprey Ridge as he's played there before, along with Magnolia and Palm, and says it's the best in terms of landscaping. However, it was a spur of the moment thing and all the tee-times were booked. We got lucky with the last of the day (and only available remaining) at EP. The round was at the half-price Twilight Rate which kicks in at 3 hours before dusk. At this rate we weren't able to take advantage of the Annual Passholder discount of 30%. Needless to say, we didn't make it all the way round, but the course was beautiful and we saw loads of wildlife including an osprey, armadillos and even a deer (albeit very fleetingly).
The previous week we'd been staying at the new Ritz Carlton and played the Greg Norman designed course there. It was immaculate, but the landscaping was very open - maybe because it's new and hasn't had time to develop, although I suspect it's been designed that way. It was very expensive - $173 each, plus a $50 each tip for the 'complimentary' Caddy Concierge. If we play there again, we'll decline this service.
