Best Footware

Another vote for Sketchers Go Walks. I tend to get blisters on the bottom of my 3rd and 4th toes, and with the Go Walks I had no problems. I alternated those with Ryka sandals, usually making the switch when we took our mid-day break.

For those of you who recommend the Chacos, which specifically do you like? Or are the footbeds pretty similar in each style so its just a preference of what the sandal looks like? I love my Teva Mush flip flops and Teva strap ons, but they are getting old and the Chacos I googled look comfy!

Best footwear is sneakers, I'll wear my reeboks or nikes

We always go in the summer, I get the easy spirit 360 comfort sandals, I walk for miles in them and my feet are always ok at the end of the day.

I love my Sanuk yoga mat flip flops. I believe zappos sells them in different colors & styles. I live in S FL & wear them almost everywhere, most of the year. I've never had issues with them after a full day in the parks. It's especially nice when it rains & you don't have to worry about wet socks inside sneakers for the rest of the day. They have a pretty good grip too, unlike the cheaper flip flops.

I'm in the Birkenstock camp. We went last April and it was in the 90s every day and the Birkenstocks were cute, comfy, and breathable. I wore them every day and my feet were fine. I highly recommend the Gizeh Flat sandal.

My wife wears Tevas and Keens - loves them. They are not sensible for 10+ miles of walking per day, but if that is what you want, wear them.

Some chacos have a strap over your big toe and others don't. Mine have the strap and if I had to buy them again I would probably pick a pair without it! It can get tight and uncomfortable after wearing them for long periods of time, but other than that I absolutely love my chacos!

I would also recommend bringing multiple pairs of shoes and switching between them. My feet always seem to be happier if they aren't in the same pair of shoes all trip!

I second Sanuk! They're comfortable and really are worth it! I wore Crocs in Disney before, but, they weren't exactly fashionable. Comfortable, yes.

Look into Vionics! I have a horrible heel spur and the one day I wore a different shoe in the parks I was in so much pain. The next day I put my Vionics back on and have worn them everyday since! They have all different styles from sandals to heels. I'm sure you can find something you will like!
I second these, and on the plus side some are very cute.

After getting blisters from tennis shoes trip after trip, I switched to crocs and have never looked back.

Don't care anything about fashion, and crocs are perfect for the water rides and the rainy days.

I would second (third?) Birks, with a *glaring* notice to make sure they are properly broken in. I wore a pair of Yaras that I *thought* were sufficiently broken in on the first day of our last trip. By the time I was through two airports and to the back of World Showcase, I had tears in my plantar fascia, and most of the skin around my ankles had been rubbed off. The rest of that trip was completely miserable, and two years later, I'm STILL having problems with plantar fasciitis. For the record, I've never had that problem with any other Birk style I've owned, so maybe that style (for distance walking) was just all wrong for me.

We're heading back in May, and my list so far includes Danskos (Not just clogs, anymore! I can vouch specifically for the Hazels, as far as the more sporty/athletic but still cute styles go. I can be on my feet for 10+ hours a day in those and the comfort is pretty comparable to my Pro clogs.) Keens, a pair of Asics sneakers, and surprisingly, a pair of Crocs Capri IV flip flops that are the ONLY thing I can put on my feet when I first roll out of bed in the morning.

I'm excited to look into Merrells, Chacos, and Vionics, as well!! Thanks for those suggestions!

I've had surgery on both my feet and have to be very careful what I wear. I LOVE my Sanuk yoga slings (2 pair), croc's vezzy flip flops, Teva mush flips flops, Teva mush olowahu, and teva tirra slides. I have Keen bali slides and they are good in dry conditions. I wore them to Disney in 2014 and they gave me blisters after it rained. I find that rotating my shoes each day helps.
While I love my sketchers go walks, I wouldn't wear them (or any closed shoe) to Disney.
But we travel in Spring or Fall when it's still very hot and humid.

Teva mush and Croc flip flops for me. I gave up wearing tennis shoes to the parks years ago!

Some of the new crocs are nice. They are comfortable and waterproof. They have them at stores like jcpenny and famous footwear.
